  1. Like I said....I wouldn't come out the door with guns blazing, but when I confront the intruder, if he does anything other than turn tail and run, there will be 9mm of lead headed his direction.
  2. So you're saying Bush did it too? So where is the change you voted for? I'm having trouble seeing it.
  3. There a A LOT of details missing here, but let me say this, If you are in my backyard at 12:30 am, you are a threat. You being there means you've either scaled a 10 ft privacy fence or broken the lock on the gate. In either case you weren't invited and I'm going to take your presence as a threat to my property and/or my and my family's safety. Now I wouldn't come out the door with guns blazing, but when I confront the intruder, if he does anything other than turn tail and run, there will be 9mm of lead headed his direction.
  4. All could have been avoided if the code enforcement official just said 'you need to move these cars' rather than send a letter demanding they stop hosting a religious assembly The former is actually doing their job and resolving the issue, the latter is viewed as an attack on religious liberty. Why do government officials always choose to do something the most difficult and cumbersome way? To think some people actually want to put them in charge of your health care?
  5. According to WND the crowd was about 15 people. "The couple, whose names are being withheld until a demand letter can be filed on their behalf, told their attorney a county government employee knocked on their door on Good Friday, asking a litany of questions about their Tuesday night Bible studies, which are attended by approximately 15 people." WND
  6. Guess their county government never heard of the First Amendment. Link "On Good Friday we had an employee from San Diego County come to our house, and inform us that the bible study that we were having was a religious assembly, and in violation of the code in the county." David Jones told FOX News. "We told them this is not really a religious assembly — this is just a bible study with friends. We have a meal, we pray, that was all," Jones said. A few days later, the couple received a written warning that cited "unlawful use of land," ordering them to either "stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit," the couple's attorney Dean Broyles told San Diego news station 10News. But the major use permit could cost the Jones' thousands of dollars just to have a few friends over."
  7. Another fact that is never mentioned about that case. The only reason McDonald's said they kept the coffee that hot was because it made a fresh pot last longer. They would rather have risked burning someone than spend a few cents brewing a couple of fresh pots throughout the day.
  8. I've always said women were too concerned with size
  9. Ah yes, the normal Screaming Eagle defense. "BLAME BUSH" But it's the a standard play out of the liberals playbook. Never ceases to amaze me how SE can take any issue critical of BHO and make it Bush's fault. Talk about wagging the dog. Thread about BHO's failure to keep a campaign promise by closing Gitmo, SE starts talking about GWB and WMD's. Anything to divert attention from the BHO broken promises/lies.
  10. "Lauren Corcia, whose Uptown condo was broken into, said Monday's sentence brought her "a very strong sense of vindication." Corcia, who graduated from Southern Methodist University over the weekend with an MBA" I KNEW IT! The SMU conspiracy continues
  11. UNT has a standing invitation to join the WAC as it is today (or so says the WAC commish). I would imagine if a WAC east did develop with the schools you mentioned UNT would definately take a look at it. But I seriously doubt UTEP would move back to the WAC from CUSA, and UNT is a more likely to go to CUSA if it expands anytime soon
  12. I certainly wouldn't mind a UNT game every other year just 10 minutes up the road.
  13. Looks like he did it to himself again... "That theory can not be proven"
  14. I could be wrong here but technically, Gov Goodhair doesn't have to sign the bill. If he chooses not to sign, it becomes law after a number of days. All we really need to worry about is a veto.
  15. WOW- It isn't often we see such religious bigotry displayed so freely. Why not just say it like this? "This the owned by the "JEWS"... this is a terrible sourse to quote" or "This the owned by the "MUSLIMS"... this is a terrible sourse to quote" or "This the owned by the "CATHOLICS"... this is a terrible sourse to quote" or "This the owned by the "BAPTISTS"... this is a terrible sourse to quote" No I don't care what you believe. But to disqualify someone because of the religion of their employer???? seems pretty bigoted to me.
  16. Drove through San Marcos the other day, making a lot of progress, Check out the progress on these sites... Link Plus they just opened up the refurbished baseball/softball complex... Link Link Why couldn't our softball field be that nice? At least we beat them 2-0 in that nice new stadium
  17. Funny, it was just a few months ago that people on the other side were saying the same things about the guy who used to be in office.
  18. Guess you skipped this part of the article: "MYTH 2 THE POLAR CAPS ARE MELTING Wrong. The British Antarctic Survey, working with NASA, last week confirmed ice around Antarctica has grown 100,000 sq km each decade for the past 30 years. Long-term monitoring by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reports the same: southern hemisphere ice has been expanding for decades. As for the Arctic, wrong again. The Arctic ice cap shrank badly two summers ago after years of steady decline, but has since largely recovered. Satellite data from NASA's Marshall Space Flight Centre this week shows the Arctic hasn't had this much April ice for at least seven years. Norway's Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Centre says the ice is now within the standard deviation range for 1979 to 2007. "
  19. Legislation and Sausage-- Two things you never want to witness being made.
  20. It's not next to or near to Texas State. It's on the interstate by the outlet malls. It's within the same city limits and I knew SOMEBODY would latch onto that saying TSU is passing us by.
  21. JQH also has done the convention/civic center and hotel partnership in San Marcos Opened within the past year. Very nice place. Embassy Suites/San Marcos Convention Center Now, how long until somebody starts posting how UNT/Denton is following Texas St/San Marcos lead and they are passing us by?
  22. Why just leave it up to the ladies? The men are information seekers to. At least this allumnus is. How about the rest of you allumni?
  23. Because the Republican controlled congress of the late 40's had just seen FDR elected to four terms. They took the choice out of the people's hands. I'll never understand why so many are in favor of letting others tell them who they can or can't vote for.
  24. We already have term limits... they are called elections.
