If you really want to see God's Country in the Hill Country get off 281! Some of my favorites drives are down FM 32 from Blanco towards New Braunfels, Takes you over the Devil's Backbone and gives you the best views in Texas. RR 337 from Medina to Vanderpool is another stunning drive. RR 12 to Wimberley, and the FM 306/2673/2722 loop around New Braunfels.

FireFighterRick had some custom made a couple of years ago. They were SWEET! Not sure if somebody is marketing them now.

This thread is worthless without pictures. Didn't anybody use their cell phone to snap a picture? -
Groupthink- pattern of thought characterized by self-deception, forced manufacture of consent, and conformity to group values and ethics Eight symptoms of groupthink: Illusion of Invulnerability: Members ignore obvious danger, take extreme risk, and are overly optimistic. Collective Rationalization: Members discredit and explain away warning contrary to group thinking. Illusion of Morality: Members believe their decisions are morally correct, ignoring the ethical consequences of their decisions. Excessive Stereotyping:The group constructs negative sterotypes of rivals outside the group. Pressure for Conformity: Members pressure any in the group who express arguments against the group's stereotypes, illusions, or commitments, viewing such opposition as disloyalty. Self-Censorship: Members withhold their dissenting views and counter-arguments. Illusion of Unanimity: Members perceive falsely that everyone agrees with the group's decision; silence is seen as consent. Mindguards: Some members appoint themselves (Al Gore) to the role of protecting the group from adverse information that might threaten group complacency. Seems lik all eight of these apply to the 'scientific' community regarding global warming.

How the heck does this solve anything? Your plan doesn't solve any of the harms you listed, it only moves the problem to the presidents third term instead of the second. It also causes further disadvantages in that you expand the problems to the House, Senate, and judiciary by adding term limits there and creating lame ducks in there last terms. -

College Football Daily Top 10 Bottom 10 D1 Unis
Baby Arm! replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
Moron He ranks two NFL copy cat uni's in his top ten (Rams, and old Redskins) ? Nothing wrong with the NFL but the best college uniforms should be unique to COLLEGE, not just a change up of some NFL teams color scheme. -
Dodge and co. made two of the local news 10pm sports broadcast in San Antonio. Showed video of the camp with interview of Dodge (in full NT regalia) talking about the strong football tradition of San Antonio, good coaching, good athletes etc. FYI - better than SMU got. They held a camp here in New Braunfels and it got no air time on the SA stations. It didn't even garner one column inch of ink in the Herald-Zeitung.

Cotton Bowl Lookin' For New Bowl Game
Baby Arm! replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
If they are going to take it out of the fair grounds, it will be a home and home before it would go to Arlington. -
Interesting article re the situation in aggieland. Very similar to what Dodge and Co. are doing in Denton Link

Cotton Bowl Lookin' For New Bowl Game
Baby Arm! replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
Tx v OU will never go to Jerryworld. OU already plays one game there, Both fanbases don't want the move, including some big donors. If it ever stops being played at the Cotton Bowl, it will move to a home and home series. -
U N T To The W A C Thread On The Tech Board
Baby Arm! replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
Then why do they insist it would be a good fit for us? -
Dude, it's San MarCOS, not Marcus (That's a crappy high school in Flower Mound Go Farmers! ) Anyway, I hope it is like the one in San Marcos, it's a nice place. I've stayed at that hotel and my company had our Christmas party there last December, The nicest Embassy Suites I've stayed at. Great meeting/event facilities, and great service.

Obama On Iran Nuclear Issue
Baby Arm! replied to KingDL1's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Someone help me with this one. Since Obama apparently thinks it's ok for Iran to start building nuclear power plants, Why doesn't he release the US energy industry to start building new power plants? France gets the majority of it's electical power from nuclear...why not here? Want to reduce carbon emissions and greenhouse gasses?... why not build nuclear here? It's good enough for Iran, why don't we allow any new ones to be built here? Maybe BHO feels American's are't as trustworthy with nuclear power as the Iranians? -
Obama On Iran Nuclear Issue

Yes indeed, If you want to know how Israel will react to nuclear reactors being built in Iran, just look at how they reacted when nuclear reactors were being buit in Iraq. -
Obama On Iran Nuclear Issue
Baby Arm! replied to KingDL1's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
The abdication of international leadership by the US post WWI (not ratifying the Treaty of Versalles, not joining the League of Nations) was definately a cause to the rise of fascism and totalarism. Something taught to me in International Relations class at good ol' Whooten Hall back in the day. The power vaccum post WWI caused by the defeat of the Central Powers, and the lack of leadership by the Allies not wanting any international entanglements caused some horrific conditions in the Weimer Republic. Situation was tailor made for someone like Hitler to come along and seize power. -
Obama On Iran Nuclear Issue

Guess we never learn anything from our own history. Isolationism hasn't ever worked well for this country or the world. The isolationlist movement post WWI was an abdication of responsibility by this country and look what happened then. BTW, does anybody REALLY think Israel is going to sit back and relax while Iran is doing this? What do they have to fear, afterall the Iranian prez only has called for the destruction of Israel. He couldn't have ulterior motives for seeking nukes right? As soon as Iran starts building a reactor, look out for the Israel's jets over Tehran. They did it in Iraq when Saddam built a reactor in the early 80's Again, History... learn from it. -
Tragic Murder
Baby Arm! replied to FirefightnRick's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Funny, I don't think Muhammed was using the government to impose his religious beliefs. Or is it your contention the dead soldier was using the government to impose religious beliefs on Muhammed? Or maybe you are just trying to what you always do -- insert the ultra-conservative, christian right, boogy man into the debate.
