College Colors Day Fri, Sept 2

SMU has a small alumni/fan base and they have a reputation of a school for rich white kids. They actually embrace the image with the country club atmosphere of the Boulevard. Outside of the Park Cities that just doesn't lend itself to becoming "Dallas' team" They don't market themselves and their reputation hurts them from being embraced by the rest of the demographic inside th3 635 loop

I've been to a few opening days at brand new stadiums in my lifetime. In all cases there was plenty of prior notification on traffic routes and parking. Come day of the event.....Total ClusterF. It's going to take an event or two for not only staff but fans to get used to the new setup.

If you really want to tailgate behind your car, arrive early and grab one of the spots along the edge of the parking lot. Back in and set up your tailgate in the grass behind your car.

If and when the Big 12 dissolves Texas would most likely go the the PAC 12 and OU, OSU, & Tech would follow. Remember it was just last summer that the then PAC 10 was inviting Texas and they still want them. Wait, what about the Longhorn Network?, Look at how the Pac 12 has structured it's network. It's one national network with six regional networks underneath that. The LHN would fit nicely as one of the regional networks

It appears the Ags are just looking for reasons to be butthurt over the LHN and leave. First, they had a problem with broadcasting high school games, so the LHN backed off of that until the NCAA rules, Then they had a problem with a second football (conference) game on the LHN, so ESPIN and conference AD's nixed that too for a year, Now its 'concerns about ESPN's ability'

Yeah but when it comes to contract language I put more stock in the opinion of a lawyer than some aggie blogger with an axe to grind.

Funny thing is Nebraska was the biggest proponent for unequal revenue sharing in the Big 12 and were ahead of Texas in plans for their own network before they left.
