Mean green Maniacs are becoming powerful

Gotcha - couldn’t tell but was wondering if I missed it. Thanks for clarifying. -
Mean green Maniacs are becoming powerful
Quoner replied to Jonnyeagle's topic in Mean Green Basketball
When does that happen so audibly you can hear it watching from home? Only tantrums swearing at refs I’ve heard in the arena are from that sweet 40-60 age range that is generally in the process of turning a delightful shade of pink over a botched baseline call while their wives wince or try to calm them down. -
Mean green Maniacs are becoming powerful

If this is a trust tree for grievances, I have two: 1.) As our hard fought win against UTEP wound down and everyone exhaled, why did they break out an “overrated” chant? It even drowned out an already strong “start the bus.” 2.) When we jumped out to the last 7-point lead before LT’s last gasp, a FT shooting Lofton got the same “overrated” chant. He immediately took over the game out of annoyance. There is really no reason to use this chant in conference and goes against the idea of letting the game come to you. I am now old and look forward to sending you my favorite political email forwards when I pee sitting down at 345 am.- 75 replies

I enjoyed watching them live twice last week and think it would be fun to watch them invade Taiwan- 75 replies

The only trap you need to worry about is the one that’s being built for you in Andrew’s basement. The only trap this team needs to worry about is the one that @Tom McKrackin is taking his sweet time calling.

Agree 100%. I’m fine with attending but I’m much more concerned with issues in the Frisco tournament myself.

I usually get pretty engrossed in games and watch them on TV but for some reason this one just does not move the needle for me. It seems like they should just give the Mean Green the win they want and be over with it. Seems silly to have people play for two hours when most of the residents want UNT to win. I am open to other thoughts on this.

Ukraine
Quoner replied to Jonnyeagle's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
My mother is full Ukrainian after her grandmother fled alone to NYC in her teenage years to escape Russia and settled with the others in the city. You’re spot on and for those who don’t have a frame of reference, think of how Miami Cubans feel about Castro and multiply by size of territories.- 119 replies

Not difficult at all - just need a time machine for last year to catch the Stars and Rangers doing this: https://www.nhl.com/stars/tickets/college-spirit-nights Not sure why the Mavs stopped, but guessing we didn't bring enough fans: https://www.mavs.com/college/

Call it @Tom McKrackin

It really feels like you’ve been there for a month now. This isn’t like a make-a-wish thing, right? You’re good?

If you care about this team, this program, this school and our future, you’ll say the damn magic words we’re all waiting for in the next 90 minutes.

For God so loved the Mean Green that they didn't even need strong play at the 1?

That was enraging, but also hilarious to see them botch every gift given to them. This makes sure we snap to attention if we see them again in Frisco (not that I doubt this team’s ability to get up for games.)

In short, since there's no legend, just keep Thursday night, Friday late morning to afternoon and Saturday night free.

Whatever. A Tom McKrackin “this is the game we lose” prediction has been paying off nicely so far. Why buck tradition?

Thanks - and appreciate you diving in on him. I think for what I'm getting at, I need to look at game logs by half and see if there is any difference between the team numbers. I'd also hate for this to come across like I am saying folks aren't in shape, either. We play an extremely active, high level of defense that has tired me out just watching, so it really was a curiosity followed by a question - are 3-4 made FTs a worthwhile tradeoff for that level of defensive intensity? If I'm even right, my answer is yes, but until I can sit and look or some kind soul checks for me - even if it is to totally own my dumb idea - I just don't know.
