It almost seems like it's intentionally in there - like this story is meant to make you feel both inclusive and a jerk for no real reason. If you fall on the tolerant side, you walk away feeling good, but ready to...yell at an Anglican? If you're on the non-tolerant side, you walk away wondering why this is being celebrated...more than usual. If you're SE-66, you wait 2 days, then just say something pointless. See, there's really something here for everyone.

I think I've made my views pretty well known on the issue, but I really have no idea why I should feel bad here or where this piece is trying to lead me. The issue is they want a religious ceremony and the religion has rules in place that have little to do with them being gay and are more about belonging to the community. It sounds like a hassle I guess, but I have faith in these crazy kids.

Donald Sterling
Quoner replied to Censored by Laurie's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I'm enjoying the indignation of Chris Paul - a man who just a few years ago looked into Sterling's eyes and said "yup, this is the man I want to sign a contract to play for." The word was out on a what a piece of crap Sterling was (read those 2004 depositions if you want to get aroused in a limo sometime soon), and he still took the money anyway - then got Del Negro fired, whined about it, then re-signed when people agreed to stop blaming him. Cliff Paul has to be fuming about all of this. -

Come on...you wrote the book on pseudoscience, you're an expert in international diplomacy, you love Mexican food in FW, and you know how to run an athletic department. Just believe in yourself and there's no doubt in my mind you can learn apps, too. -

Sad story of one of our own
Quoner replied to UNT90's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Let's not overlook the "Craig Watkins is terrible" factor. -
I had the opposite game, so that, and your terrible day, explains your pure, passoniate rage. I missed the first period entirely because of an event going long, then settled in at the midway point of the second. I agree Gogli is overpaid, but this is still a team under the cap and it's not my money, so I've decided to stop holding that against him. Gonchar continued to flub everything around him - even when the team was coming around - while everyone else settled down. You know who could have helped settle everyone down last night...Pevs. I know he's a lightning rod, but no one seemed ready in the first from what I have read (especially with the dumb penalties), but the worst part of the last 6 minutes was watching our defense fire the puck directly into 3 Anaheim guys packed in front of them instead of making the extra passes for something that would at least get to the net. Anaheim doesn't play a strong defensive game without the puck and we seemed to have no patience or drive to exploit that until way too late. I know everyone is taking a moral victory from the comeback, but it starts over every night and Andersen will also have his first experience behind him, too. Nervous for tomorrow night, but it's fun to be nervous again. Basically, stay out the box and we have a really good chance here the more we play 5 on 5.

I know you reacted in real time, but I'm fine with Gogligoski as a second or third pair d-man; he's just being asked to do too much right now. I think fo him as Kevin Millwood as a staff ace right before the Rangers got an influx of pitching. More importantly, cannot wait to fire Gonchar and Rome into the sun.

A guy broke into my house, stole some stuff and had his way with my girlfriend while dribbling a basketball. I was mad, but then I just remembered how much I enjoyed seeing folks takin' it do da hoop and got over it real fast. He's welcome back anytime.

I have a relative who is a Navy pilot who told me about some of these buzzing incidents in the past. He said this happens more than you think and told me the story of a patrol colleague who went to the edge of enemy airspace just last year and started yelling into the radio for someone to "f***ing fire and get some action going" as he buzzed up and down. He said he'd never been more scared in his life about what was going to happen next. Before you launch into your planned angry response, I'm not saying that to diminish your point or stick up for Obama - it's just all I could think of when I heard this story.
