  1. NebGnidoog1? Welcome to the board!
  2. Isn't the moral of the story clearly just more Ben Gooding, less everyone else?
  3. This sucks. I miss when the coaches were accused of taking the TVs
  4. We could send them all to Qatar. I hear good things.
  5. Thank god we're crowdfunding some asshole who works in advertising instead of the people who lost a ton in the flooding this week #ibelievethatwecanwin
  6. But, but...we like each other in person. The only problem is our in-person relationship is based on basketball, and well, you know... I don't know what happened to Kram, but, as a homage, it sounds like goats are being got.
  7. And here you sit above it all, at the top in post count AND reputation. All hail the king, baby.
  8. I love the 94 Buffaloes as much as the next guy, but that's kind of weird. What true American would celebrate the worst Heisman winner ever?
  9. I don't think it had anything to do with money or salary or what she was paid - it was more the "what's the point of paying anyone associated with this thing I care very little about it in my big picture more than $XXXXXXX." So, when someone comes to her and wants to make a passionate speech or show reasoning for supporting it, it doesn't matter how well he does setting up his argument, it's just not going to happen. That doesn't mean RV is great or a failure - it just seems like an obvious reality. You can point to a ton of failures when you go down the list for a lot of leadership positions at old NT (and I have the same loss of passion for many of the same things you do), but your logic here to single out RV for failing to sway her just feels extra vindictive. We can easily agree to disagree on here, but just wanted to state my case. Please don't swerve when you type back - it's a no refusal weekend and I'd hate for you to get in a sticky situation.
  10. Yes, I am that gullible. I know you really like sports, but do you think she was chosen by leadership with anything besides tier one advancement/all that entails and rounding out diversity on her goals list? She didn't sit there and do RV's research on salaries - she flat out didn't care. I know you have a tireless anti-RV campaign to run from whatever vehicle you're operating in heavy traffic this weekend, but, while we agree on a few aspects of your usual points, calling out this new narrative where Gretchy-Poo was a genius and RV couldn't do his job with her is just stupid, especially to anyone who knows even minor details behind the scenes of her run here. This isn't about sticking up for RV and the job he does; it's that what you're doing is the equivalent of calling the head of Parks and Wildlife to the carpet for not heading off the mortgage crisis.
  11. Explain? Yes. Make her care? No. Who could have?
  12. Hopefully he can text in his thoughts while going 95 down the tollway. I hope he is at good as it as you, though. I'd hate for a man's final eulogy to be "well, he was traveling down the tollway and missed a car with it's hazards on, but, fear not, he was able to share his final thesis on where the penis should and shouldn't go once last time. He truly died as he lived."
  13. Lol to anyone who takes these numbers seriously. Also, media attention valued at $400,000 is outdated, misleading and...based on the traditional measurements of this most have disregarded...low.
  14. You need us You need people responding badly to feel alive, don't you?
  15. 20 GIFs of Darrell Dickey that Will Restore Your Faith in the Mean Green Todd Dodge got asked to join this high school football team. You won't believe what happens next. 10 things you probably don't know about the 2001 Colorado State Rams. Mem-Fist: the true story of the 2003 New Orleans Bowl
  16. I really can't argue with that logic if those are the only choices presented. If you really want to shudder, just think of the cost of the creative work and campaign planning that went behind the message getting relayed by those boards.
  17. Well if your point is the school's current billboard campaign is terrible, we are not going to fight at all, but the billboard topic is an annual GMG tradition and has been for more than a decade. You're just the latest to carry the torch. There's a lot of things the money for a billboard could do (you're basically pissing away a month's worth of a solid digital campaign with SEO or an effective media blitz around earned opportunities.) Also, you realize the quoted post above basically say "yes, I understand this is a low return investment, but I also don't work in advertising. Here are my additional thoughts on both items," right?
  18. Billboards again? Always different people, too. 10,000 monkeys, 10,000 typewriters... ...But, GMG.
  19. To be fair, I believe they are the only two coaches working in college basketball today.
  20. All an elaborate setup so he can scrub up and be part of the messiest c-section ever.
  21. Yeah - I'm a noted TD enthusiast and supporter and definitely wasn't in the first group to get ripped for being done with him. I remember the burden of standing up for each of those 6 wins so well. We agree he wasn't a good college coach here, but to poke every hole possible in in his entire CV is just stupid and fits THE EXTREME HOT TAKE agenda perfectly. You're basically becoming StephenA90.
  22. Yeah - but she doesn't have a body of 800+ posts that basically speak for themselves.
  23. I like this new reality where Dodge was this incompetent jester who could barely dress himself or cross the street for his entire career. It doesn't seem revisionist, weird or agenda-driven at all.
