Free games out of #1...loosers
-
Olde Damnation is not even good. I saw the Tasty Geek they take this seriously bc they fire guys that loose 20 games. I say, that's like throwing away a baby bc it made doodie. Guess what, loosing 20 can eventually turn into 16 or 12 or 11 if ur luckee. All we need is to put all the 1st haves together, not let the team have a lockett broom and then watch them play the most inspired fordy minuets of there lifes. Cant wate!
-
It's sad, but you still gotta take everything good we did in the thirst halve and then bottle it up for the next 1. I'm not liddy to giev up bc half of something is 50 persons of a nguyen, baby!

Cynic could say the ad budget ran out - and that your own website is a better reflection of what you want to communicate since it is owned and free. However, while we're arguing, everyone on this thread seems to agree the key points are great and the 20% target is exactly what the school needs to be doing - the only quibbling is over the execution. It's really easy to second guess a campaign during and after the fact, so hopefully we see a new wave of materials that all fit with this and help us get away from being the Golden Corral of education (although a chocolate fountain would be bad ass.)
-
Those are all great facts and would make the center piece of a great, well thought out campaign. Since we've had thousands of dollars go into RFPs and support to do exactly this the last few years, can we not be a little dissatisfied with the end products to date and hope there is better to come or nah?

The program is great. I don't think anyone has an issue with it, just the packaging. Let's make it more relatable. Imagine if the university started a brand new cussing at refs and people program, but didn't cover how to flip an effective middle finger. I bet you'd kind of wonder how they missed that one. OR, even worse, imagine a defenseof the dark arts class that never even considered how to do a patronus. I would have some questions for Dumbledore and Cornelius Fudge - I'll tell you that much.

Dallas Stars Hockey 2014-15
Quoner replied to Green Mean's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Yeah - and the stare down strategy worked great for the Islanders as they picked up 1/3rd of their D weeks via trades in that situation before the season started and are currently destroying the East. I'm intrigued by Oduya, but who knows what he gets in this market. Also, realizing we'll be breaking in new D guys and a goalie in the coming years as the offensive talent loses prime years is somewhat worrisome, even if our two leaders are so young. I think a trade or signing (or both) has to happen for the window we have, but I still trust Nill and just hate waiting for the pieces because I am impatient. -

I cannot believe we are still only 4 out - even if the games in hand are gone or even flipped. Found myself browsing the top free agents of next year before I saw this post. I'm not in love with any of them and the trade market seems to be Nill's preference, but some intriguing D guys on this list: http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/2015-nhl-unrestricted-free-agents-contract-years-marc-staal-cody-franson-johnny-boychuk-antoine-vermette/ -
Of course we do - but sometimes, you can have a goal and build a campaign to do it without specifically calling it the "Hey look over here! Please! Please!" campaign. I think the issue I have is that most of the well-intentioned stuff the last few years seems like it came from a meeting where people listed some goals and then figured out the easiest way to do it. We need to show everyone we're a great value! Above the rest for 1000s less. We need to engage the top 20% of students in NTX! ATTENTION TOP 20% STUDENTS - WE WILL TOTES LET YOU IN WITHOUT MUCH EFFORT. We're cheapening ourselves - and all for what feels like laziness. That said, we don't know the whole plan for this goal is, so I'm trying my hardest not to just shoot it all down and declare it stupid forever, but just posted my initial reaction/"HOT TAEK."

We already were an obvious safety net for this caliber of student - now we've just branded it. Money well spent, Debbie L.

I got a feline that we are just getting warmed up, baby!!11! The boys looked good flying Rice and you have to think we can build on what or "D" did! Regardless, I am just happy that the scholarship men will be dribbling and layuping for all of us - where a lucky group!

And he (Lance) was open, too.

Always. Even the good basketball.

I poked you...nothing

The gap between you and PFTCommenter is closing daily - and I'm pretty excited about it.
-
Romo is a crappy tackler and has a lot of coverage breakdowns - that's always been my biggest issue with him.
-
Come on you so-called experts - we're jsut 2 games out of thirst! I know I will be interested to see how we play, but really I just like getting to enjoy hoops in any from!
-
The thing I hate about The Ticket is how Junior Miller publicly mocked the program and even dismissed the competence of RV. Can you believe it?
-
I got demoted because we didn't go 5-7 this year. Thanks, UTSA.
-
It'd be fun to stay within a combined 10 points of programs like Syracuse and NC State. Plus, there's some sexy swaction on that ledger.
-
You guys are overreacting. I took it to mean Kram thinks Tasty should wake himself up in that most special of ways and you jerks made it political.

Let's start where things always need to start around here - the will of the Catholic Church (thanks RV - Rick Vitae? Brett Vitae? Brett Vita? BRETT VITO!?) Cardinal Seán O'Malley of Boston, (probably a LB from the 1977 Incarnate World team and now chairman of the US bishops' Committee on Pro-Life Activities), has declared that human cloning is inconsistent with our responsibility to "treat each member of the human family as a unique gift of God, as a person with his or her own inherent dignity." Well, there you have it folks -no dice... Unless... We don't make the clones ourselves. What about aliens? I know, I know, it sounds crazy, but maybe not according to Pope Francis. In fact, he'd baptize Gleepnorp Bazadoo from Generon 6 right now! So, if Gleepnorp comes to us with a pre-existing clone set of players and Jesus in his/her heart, we really would be doing the Lord's will here by letting this game happen. Yes, Benford might not appreciate the scenario, but I think we cane once again look at the word's of Jesus when He talked to HIS Athletic Director: "Coach, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but your scheduling be done."

That was the last game I've been to (although even if I hadn't moved, that'd likely still be the case.) Right at the final buzzer, the then 3 year old projectile vomited all over what had been Tasty's seats. It was beautiful and poetic.
