Whatever - it's great. We may have lost a home game this season, but we totes get TWO homecomings!
-
Really? The game that's been on the schedule for like six years in his home state snuck up on him after he signed? That's good sports writing.

I don't understand how Venables is hitting .240 because I don't think I've ever actually seen him get a hit. Hope there's not a let down today - and glad we're not playing LAA because they make everyone play a night game on getaway days (or at least us whenever we visit.)

My tinfoil is in the shape of an iceberg.

Exactly. You bring your boss two options and say pick one and I'll go with it. If you don't like one of the options you brought to the table, can you really blame the person who picked between the two you gave? Also, what's Neinas up these days? -
On paper, I totally agree. However, if you went defense and sat Moreland the last week or two for Venable, where is this thing right now? I was 100% against it at first, but now i have gone about 70% based on results (which is fallacy, but whatever. We're winning and it's fun.)

You don't know these two sentences are related, do you? Moreland offense > Napoli defense right now or nah? Oversimplification: Moreland is too hobbled to play OF and we need his bat, so Napoli is getting the OF starts Mitch would get to keep both bats and Prince in the lineup against left handers. I'm not sure how I feel about it to be honest, but so far the results are there and Bannister seems stubborn about it, so, despite the break yesterday, we'll see how we match up in Houston. Also, the magic number is... Oh, and I know the lame stream media says the number is 8, but with the season series clinched, as long as Houston is also a playoff team, it's like having an extra game on them.

MGB: If McNulty wasn't the best option, he wouldn't be out there
Quoner replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
You know how a lot of people bristle about the idea that RV "invented" tailgating here? Getting the obvious right a lot isn't cause for a lifetime poster contract either. -

GMG Crowdfund, Round 2: A Delicious Proposal

The ironic part is it will take an all out marketing blitz to raise enough for Batchelder and Adams. -

GMG Crowdfund, Round 2: A Delicious Proposal

I've been canvassing the streets from Attleboro to the beaches of West Greenwich for change and am proud to have raised even more for future projects, thank you very much. While I appreciate what Tasty does with his salary, I feel it is my duty to do even more because I believe in this project. So, Alonzo, why don't you #backoffwiththeinquisitionanddecidetojusthaveacivilconversationwithmeagainlater, ya dig? ________ That is fantastic news. I cannot imagine stumbling on this cold - and wait until he reads the rest of the board. It will feel like the gusting winds of a thousand Playmakers. -
GMG Crowdfund, Round 2: A Delicious Proposal

Well, since I don't see your name on the list, I can see this is a joke to you, but for some of us, this is the start of something bigger. Keep posting your slander, and the rest of us will be out here trying to get something done and build on this momentum #itsallajoke -
Yeah - and I know we went back and forth a few times, but it's still hard for me to completely kill Joe for what he was doing without a budget or plan. However, now that Nill is here instead of him, I never, ever want to go back. There are still a lot of things about Ruff I don't get, but if he does go, I won't be sad because there is no way this leadership group doesn't find the best fit possible, which is just such a nice, new feeling. We've never seen this team built to do anything but outspend people to be good since they got to Texas, so getting to know the young talent and making smart trades has yet to even remotely get old.

Irving is crazy!

Only if 90 furiously googles the merits of quartz crystal vs. tuning fork in clock design so he can add some real expertise to the discussion. -

Is there a program or list of donors for this one? I'm working on a project and need records. -

Man, wait until someone's dial up gets the latest from Bill Maher and the people saying he may not have built the clock...a lot of questions for sure? -
Posts like these make me hope GreenP1 has a lifetime contract.

Because only baby boomers are allowed to operate it?

It's funny - NESN is still doubling down on that party animal, not a leader Seguin stuff, but the fans I've met up here are not happy he was allowed to be traded (but do like Smith and Louie.) Now that Dougie Hamilton got traded and has gone through the same character assassination, I think a lot of them are dreading watching what should have been their best two players in a year or two fully blossom in the west.

Damarcus Smith is warming up on the sidelines
Quoner replied to UNT 90 Grad's topic in Mean Green Football
To be fair, you're giving him a ton of material to reach that conclusion. -
I had a coach who felt the same way. Some short WR jackass pulled a jersey over my head and he just saw me react and told me I was staying late to be a warm body with the varsity. I then got the privilege of having people 3 years older than me practice a variety of pull plays and also got in trouble if I hit their QB for 90 minutes. It was an absolute beating. Also, that coach is dead now.

Are they required to give a percentage (either officially or unofficially?) Or is this maybe like joining a board where you have to show investment to leadership?

Good to see the usual suspects on GMG.com covered up the positives again. Looking forward to the report and sorry I doubted. Just proves that if you open your eyes, there's a lot of good happening here, even if some people grumble. I know I am proud to be the lead donor to such an important part of our future and look forward to my voice being heard constantly.
