Finally - a place to see Munthe argue with people!
-
If you're marking Denton for an attack, it makes sense - just let a few people I care about get out first.
-
Educate yourself - or we won't even have a program to get pissed about.

Chem trails and plane crashes? Now you're making some real #news! @infowars @cnn
-
And then someone prints up all the tweets and mails them by certified letter to the office of the president!
-
So it will have a side ad for SMU football? CRAP. (Alternate joke: Icarus wastes fast start, falls late to sun.)
-
Good question for any situation. Also, how did we reach a point where you either don't care about something or you fly an airplane after sending a few letters? Has this ever been a choice set anywhere else in the world - with the exception of maybe Kaneohe Naval Air Station? Is this how you all fight with your wives? Regardless, can't wait to see how this goes and props for getting it done, 90.

So you guys are 4 of the 17?

Aww, I've been avoiding you and the toilet army you've rallied on the football board, but I'm glad you thought those handful of recent posts about hockey somehow tied back to you. I think I was pretty clear here - you are right on 80% of your post and wrong on the other 20%. Better than usual, but I guess you almost got backed into a corner with points you couldn't refute, so way to swing for the fences with "passive/aggressive" (it was direct); CBL (have you all kissed yet?), everything is about me (you just clog up the board is all) and self-examination (you're right, I regret posting already.)

I agree with everything you said except this, but I am glad you finally got to pontificate on this one as it was just about down the toilet pipe and into the sewer of irrelevance forever. Say you immediately fire her and she uses her WITCHCRAFT KNOWLEDGE OF THE DARK SCIENCE OF JOURNALISM to take something is timely and relevant to continue to drag this out in the spotlight, dragging in the school and everyone with it. Probably not a fun time for anyone involved and a much bigger black eye - but would be a fun time on the message board for someone with really no involvement whatsoever. like yourself. Or, you finish the semester or year, quietly dismiss her where she can't make a stink (and even if she tried, it wouldn't go very far) and get her away from the school. Which scenario is more beneficial for the university? I think if the Corinth police hadn't made such excellent use of this as a teaching moment and expressed more empathy than I've seen from you in all 60 billion of your posts combined, I'd be right there with you, but the officers and their department are the ones who had the right to make any demand possible with her, and they handled it beautifully. It's the craziest thing....the Corinth Police don't get off on picking message board fights from an iPad while shuttling between Granbury and the Stockyards in the left lane, they just generally do what is best for their community.

RV. You might want to interview Jake instead of Steve. Pretty typical for this AD IMO.

From experience, a lukewarm cup of coffee, some regrets and possibly a long PM from Kram.

Why do you need or anyone who read the Fox News story need an immediate scalp here? I may have missed the officer or the police department calling for her firing, but it seems like they had a great opportunity to show how things often do and should work and it was awesome to see her claim get destroyed through the process. Is it fair to say it seems like most people want her punished so they can finally feel like they are pushing back on a bigger political movement? I don't really follow the Journalism school, but I'm fine with the story dying in a few days after the next outrage and skipping all of the ancillary fallout of a bold, public termination that would mean more headlines and headaches for everyone involved.

Whoa - this hot taek of "praising her" by distancing from the whole situation and trying to remove the university from the discussion is awful. The real cherry on top is them having the gall to tell people it's probably best to not be shitty to other people they don't know as a general principle for life. I'm ready to be outraged now. That said, most places would fire you for even creating the mix-up of an op-ed from the university, so would not be shocked if some time passed and then we didn't hear from her again. Hard to imagine she could continue on here long-term, but it is North Texas...

That...was...awesome. The great @Jaydub joined me and my family for this one and we had a blast. (I asked him if he wanted me to relay any messages for the board, and oddly enough, he wrote down some badly misspelled thoughts on a white sheet of paper and said he'd put them in the mail to my boss. Seemed a really indirect way for a grown adult to handle things, but hey, that's his journey.) There was a decent smattering of green around the lower bowl (even met a guy from Flower Mound walking in) and we ended up a section over and back from the crying girl who caught the Seguin puck and saw it happen. The boos for Seguin were hilarious and it was so fun to watch the guy next to us mutter "damn it not him" every time. I told the fans around me to cheer up because that Eriksson guy looked okay and maybe they could build a trade package for Tyler around him someday. Most of the fans were pretty nice, but it was so great to see them miserable. The crazy part is they didn't play well, but Kari looked really good and had his glove working for once and after the late first period goal, the PK was great. I think this team still has so much to clean up and fix, which makes it even more exciting to know they are 10-3 and only going to get better. Oh, and while the organ and anthem singer are cool, make sure you hug Grubes next time you're at a Stars game. This was like a crotch rock time machine from the early 2000s, complete with a Zombie Nation power down after every home goal.

NT Daily Article: Attendance on the decline in 3 major sports
Quoner replied to MGNation92's topic in Mean Green Football
The interesting part to me is not who is doing a better job vs. the two reporters, but that the AD decided to give this guy such a long audience and continues to shut out the external press (regardless of your thoughts on Vito.) It gives an insight into who he is trying to make sure reads what he says and his goals are.
