It seems the AD has won. Did he? That plane with a banner on it may have defeated us. But RV and 90 won't stop there. They'll make bigger planes and bigger banners, and soon, they will make a plane with a banner so big, it will destroy them all!

We all knew he could create the monster, but no one ever expected him to control him. Between this and the Kramdrew ugliness, it's been a tough couple of weeks for message board family trees.

Well, if the main issue is recruiting/talent, how do you continuously analyze that without sounding like a jerk with an axe to grind against the players?
-
I hate this time of year, too. Didn't used to, though.

Which side will be the first to get boats involved? Maybe an actual RV?

I never once took a stand in this big debate, but somehow, you gathered your resolve and figured out that a decent QB is better than a make-a-wish kid, some quitters, a guy with a pool noodle taped to what was most likely an amputation, and the guy who is still learning how to put in real effort and practice. That said, the team could also have scored 30 in every single game this season and would still have the same record, so really not sure why you're doing this, but I think everyone appreciates a new thread.

Do we get the defense back, too? No? Then, I guess losing by an average of 2 scores vs. 4 is really special to you.

I would not expect them to do that at all - but why try to pretend your tower was lit for this cause when it clearly wasn't? I'm wearing these pants I've had on all day to benefit, um, the homeless.

So the tower was already green for the win, and then someone thought it was a good time to tag on some heartfelt copy for more favs/likes/shares? Was this UCRM's call?

Eh, the hell with context or qualifications for the win right now - that was a great night in a place that used to be a lot of fun and I'm glad I was there for it.

Have you learned nothing from your attackers? You don't get to change anything until you angrily say you are quitting the board and promise never to return.

That's not what I said at all. You're just creating a new step where I send boats and bring them over here and let them live in the empty parts of Apogee. It's like you're trying to get our airspace restricted. I'm saying we better work with the rest of the world to find a solution beyond closing borders or this regional problem we've been snowballing and punting for 40 years will just keep getting bigger than it already is.
-
Oh I see the difference here...I wasn't advocating for them all to come here at all. But, being that we played the biggest role in destabilizing their region and trickling down to this mess, entirely washing our hands of it seems crappy as well. That's how you make sure the terrorists message is a lot more palatable to a new generation or two.

Oh this is a neat game. Are you okay dropping napalm on a nursery if you knew baby Hitler was in there? Would you launch a missile at an old folks home if it would stop a tsunami? Would you drop plasma bombs on an alcatraz full of hostages to stop VX gas rockets from hitting San Francisco? Would you shoot down a plane full of convicts who hijacked it if you knew there were four innocents onboard? FFR - one point of clarification I didn't even catch when I first posted. I meant all of our posts are pointless, but just used your count for base math. We have our differences, but you're far from the most pointless poster on this board. As for politicizing, I think everything has to be politicized somewhat, but there's usually a lecture from gun control advocates after every shooting, so just doing it to show how pointless it is. I think Mr. Wilkes is right - this is not a simple issue and not one I think any of us can solve in a forum back and forth, but it does make for an interesting discussion. We talk all the time about how if you ban something, evil still finds a way. Does this logic not apply to terrorists finding entry points to targets or is immigration suddenly foolproof?

This is the exact goal of the attacks. Us vs. Them. Nothing in the middle and everyone thinking about the middle digs into an extreme position. I don't know what the answer is and I'm not trying to defend O'Bummer against an out of context quote spread by the "grater forum of Facebook uncles for 'merica," but isn't it at least worth asking if a Christian standard of decency would really just start writing off large segments of humanity? Abraham: "What if there are 45 good men in there?" God: "Eh. F*ck 'em." Loved that part of the Old Testament.

Quoner replied to THOR's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Depends - the one thing their staff does well is take what you like and find you a much cheaper version of it. I've found some good vodkas, whiskeys, bourbons and gins for cocktail mixing and even a few for straight sipping I never would have touched otherwise thanks to them. -
MGB Friday Q&A with Dustin Dopirak of the Knoxville News Sentinel

He didn't even ask him about his thoughts on the banner? Friggin' Vito... -
MGB: "Fire Rick Villarreal" banner flies in Denton
Quoner replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
You're an obvious adrenaline junky - probably only feel alive with the purr of a motor or the ecstasy of flight. Coffee might be simpler, though. Nancy Reagan didn't give her life for you to get into harder stuff like tanks and bombers. -
Facing adversity, Coker says he plans to coach UTSA next season
Quoner replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
When do they send a tug boat pulling a Fire Coker dingy down the River Walk? Freaking amateurs.
