Wait - there are people above the age of 13 that drink Big Red?

Thanks - didn't realize I responded to the wrong person, but I agree it is an acquired taste. My aunt and uncle met at Wake Forest and go back often, so it became common enough at family events growing up to make an impression.

You can also just get it at most Spec's - might want to call and check first though. I know the Plano one had it a few years back before I moved.

Good point. How are we supposed to trust another Sidway story that doesn't quote you?

It just feels way too soon for this. Could you delete and repost next week?

What about the McCaughey boys? I spy four large Iowa-born sons that would have been perfect...

They were clearly missing Derek Thompson out there. Would have been a pretty easy win with one of him in the backfield, let alone the newfangled WildDerek with 2/3 at once. To answer your actual question, yes - they didn't have Nazair Jones for the game. Not sure about the others.

Congratulations to coach Briles for winning as many bowl games at Baylor as McCarney did here (EDIT: since the sarcasm will be lost - in the last 3 years) Just glad we got to see Littrell exposed as a terrible hire at defensive coordinator tonight. Stay woke, sheep!

Much in the same way Chris Burke is not your average actor or Jason McElwain is not your average high school basketball player. Game respects game. -

Agree, and since we're sharing perspectives, I've never made it through the Phantom Menace all the way. I have watched it with booze 4 times and never stayed awake for the whole thing, but have definitely seen enough and picked up what I needed. I thought the second movie wasn't bad and somehow ended up watching it 3 times in the theater with different groups of friends. You're also write on the concepts being cool, which is why, with a less serious tone, better dialogue and some tweaks, 2 and 3 could have been great. There are snippets of greatness, but you have to dig through so much crap to ferret them out that I get why the majority of people just gave up. It's frustrating to see what could have been with those - but you also had to watch them knowing exactly where they led. Even if parts of TFA felt recycled, it's not like we have to get somewhere by the 9th movie, so I'm going to cling to that freedom as long as I can - just like with the, siiigh, Matrix trilogy.

This was only the second Star Wars movie with dialogue that didn't make me want to kill myself, so that's a huge positive for my personal rankings. I also like that you left yourself room to hedge - because if this setup goes in the right direction and they are using the familiar ideas of the first trilogy as a launching point for something else entirely, then I will be very happy and feel even better about having this movie 2 on my ranking list.

Oh. But....naaahhhh.

It was nice to get season tickets sent for basketball the season after I decided not to renew mine. Is that a plus or minus?

I heard there were a lot of old men who really hated obscure Mario Bros characters back when you were here...
