We should harp on the guy who won't be hired more. Keep it coming.

That's why I was proud of the 1998 U.S. men's olympic hockey team at Nagano!

I think the sad face of the new scrappy costume could make the dude look depressed even if he was sandwiched between Selma Hayek and Penelope Cruz.

Its obvious it was the evil media stirring up trouble. Come on guys - the media doesn't take the time to post on here so screw them.

Randy Butler, assistant Head Coach USM

So there was fire where was smoke - again - thankfully it was put out (see RV's post.) Huzzah! -
Especially since they got in the bonus with over 13 minutes to go....

I kept waiting for #45 from UTA to reach out, grab it, and bit its head off. Did anyone get a chance to say what's up to Oliver Miller tonight? Mighty O in the house...

Rules say they can't review from a jumbotron. That's what the ref was saying to them. Look at tonight as trading a tough loss for a chance to gain the technology Old Dominion has enjoyed since 1998.

One cared....a lot. Quite a mess back there...

Do the people who bash everyone for their source being wrong and then get shown up ever get tired of it? Just curious... -
Worst Ever GMG.com Poll II: If You Were One of the
Quoner replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
No coaching hire alone would inspire me to buy tickets. I'd want to see some wins or a new exciting style of play that worked for a few games - if I was one of the casuals you described. Is there anyway you could reword your questions to make the results somewhat worthwhile? I'd be interested to see this same poll without the editorializing of each question, although I understand the frustrations that made you phrase them how you did. -
He's here - biding his time for a triumphant return. For now you can bask in the wonder of Borat's speedo.

He's a Texas alumn and homer and pretty much dismisses most other schools. He really doesn't dig into college football that much and when he does, I'm sure he skims the top 10 and calls it a day.

Grow up guys, grow up....

Dickey.....NT Athletics Hall of Fame inductee
Quoner replied to UNT_playmaker's topic in Mean Green Football
So this guy's gone now? What did I miss here - could someone PM me? And Playmaker, for what its worth, good post for the most part. The nice part about the firing being public (well besides the firing) is not having to argue about something some knew and others didn't was already happening. A tad harsh on the player's though. I think many of them reached a point where they didn't think they had a leader worth giving up 100% of themselves for. Would you do that for Dickey? The backups were/are still happy to get a shot. -
Mattress Mac's Houston Chronicle Ad against Texans

I had the misfortune of being part of a marketing presentation to the man once and could not have walked away less impressed. He pouted as we recapped customer feedback to him and asked "how the f^& he was supposed to please everyone" and also berated members of his own staff. An intern showed up late and MM made it a mission to make him feel like crap when he walked in and again at the end. After the presentation wrapped up, he asked the kid what feedback he had for the group. When the kid said nothing, he responded, "yeah, that's what I f'n thought." I've hard so many good things about the man and was excited to meet him, but walked away with an impression that has always stuck with me. The weird part is so many others who met him swear by his character. Maybe he's a great guy other times, but he just seemed like (with apologies to Black Schole's invisible daughter ) a world-class douchebag that day. -
Its by total scholarships - not sports. That's why the best way to do it is run a big ass Equestrian program - the thing can be the size of a football team and balance your numbers much quicker than sports like bball and volleyball with smaller teams.

I look at it this way, give a man a fish, he eats once. Teach a man to fish, he will eat for a lifetime. Adler, my friend, I have taught you to fish.

That was my first one and it was pretty entertaining all around. The Ramon comment was great. I got a sense that you guys almost slipped into letting on that you know a tiny bit more about the search than the podcast reflected, but that was probably my imagination.

Alright douche, I was going off his total body of work lately - not one post. I'm trying to get away from battling him and I'm glad you are here to support him. Good luck with that.

Good post - and this is our next fan lightning rod to divide us all. Should be an interesting few weeks no matter what your personal opinions are. Just don't disagree with me - or I will silence you!

Thank you - I needed to change my signature.

So is RV friends with the Southern Miss coaches or the 3 and 4A Texas high school coaches? If you sources tell you Hank is an alum then you should probably stop talking to them. Not to mention the fact that several of your recent posts have just been wrong. Drinking with your buddies and then posting your late night consensus does not equate to a "source." Its okay, not everyone has a source. Its not a badge of honor. Take me for example - I know more than I let on sometimes - as do many on the board, and if I self-promote, its done in jest, like pretty much everything I do. Sometimes you can use it discretely in a post or two, sometimes you can say it directly, but most of the time you keep your mouth shut unless its absolutely appropriate. I am restraining myself from the usual slam dunk attacks I make on your post to tell you to take a deep breath and recall the wisdom of Anchorman: "Maybe you should stop talking." "Yeah why don't you sit the next couple of plays out, Champ."

I find his byline photo strangely hypnotic - like seeing a bizzaro version of Brad Miller rolling up his wizard sleeves to get down to business. That doesn't make sense.

They also called Nash for the worst offensive foul ever. Then had to scramble for a make up call
