  1. Thank you for clearing that up. I see both sides to the coin, but I feel like it doesn't apply as much here because so few of our staff anywhere have UNT connections across the board. Some do a great job, some don't. Crap, am I turning into PMG by griping about this?
  2. BUT - didn't a bunch of you mock how much this job paid when it was first posted? Or am I crazy? If we're all too good for the going rate, why complain when someone well-qualified takes the pay?
  3. We don't hire alums because that would screw up the sense of disconnection and fragmentation throughout the campus. Duh.
  4. I'm willing to commit to a non-sensical rivalry if he is. At least until the season starts. Even though we both originally agreed over Playmaker confusion...
  5. That I like... Can someone photoshop this for me? It would be like Christmas in July...
  6. Oh, I was supporting you. But, this list was a nice payoff, so maybe I will start disagreeing with you more to produce more lists in the future. Take a position and I'll disagree. Go.
  7. Reading comprehension = hard
  8. Well there is your problem. You clicked on the link rather than ignoring the severity and making a senseless fluffy kitten joke.
  9. My star UNT recruit for NCAA 2007 was named Schloppy Bush. He is a scrambler and helped lead the team to a perfect season but only a bid in the Walnut San Fransisco Bowl against a 6-6 Virginia team. We beat their asses good. Before that. in a stunning upset, Quinn won the Hesiman Trophy, despite the superior numbers of my man Bush. It was amazing. There was not a dry eye (or pants pocket) in the house. The next year the team went undefeated with wins over Ole Miss, Virginia (damn auto-generator), and Cal (in Denton - WTF) and Bush was again passed up for one of his wide receivers. The team finished #11 and beat Arizona State in the Sugar Bowl. Year three is just starting, but UNT is 4-0 with wins over BC and Miami on the road. They are only #23, but the world understands the full power of Schloppy Bush. He's from Iowa. It was good recruiting. He is also majoring in math and has a GPA that ranges between 3.0 and 3.9 depending on how much he trains vs. studying. I only share this because video game world is infinitely more interesting that anything else until the season starts. I'd be happy to keep the world updated on the magical adventures of Schloppy Bush and the gang as soon as I have more time to play with myself. Schloppy Bush gets so much fan mail too - it's amazing how much the computer versions of you guys love him.
  10. Make that 7 consecutive national championships. Sometimes one nut can last an awfully long time...

  13. They finally use my ideas! I can only hope they included the crude amateur sketch...
  14. That's why Duke basketball and Virginia football never get good recruits. I hope Lavar Arrington and Fifty Cent show up and hooks it all on up with all their women and/or Justin Willis.
  15. We also should wait to proceed until we know if Daddy Dumpsalot approves of this new "tradition."
  16. How dare you. Beating SMU is the most important thing to ever happen for our program just like it was last year. They are out to kill us and everything we stand for. They even lost on purpose last year in an ill-fated attempt to make us keep Dickey. Their hatred for us knows no bounds. It's not just us they hate personally, they hate everything we stand for and believe in, and nothing can be done to change this. Remember Timmy, if a Pony could, it would eat you and everyone you ever cared about.
  17. SMU wasn't a mid-major when they got the death penalty... they are a mid-major because they got the death penalty
  18. What, why worry? Better not doubt our leader.....
  19. Great post - but are you sure that last part isn't already a tradition? It seems so...familiar.
  20. Wait, was Playmaker being sarcastic or was Mad Hatter?
  21. Unless he makes a string of questionable in-game decisions, Dodge can't lose the battle of perception this year. Their either Dickey's kids learning a new system if we lose or we all marvel at what he did with Dickey's kids if we win. He'll be really judged in 2008. Personally I think we're around .500 as the learning curve sets in and the defense is asked to do more since a non-working spread offense doesn't kill much clock, but if everything clicks, a 7 or 8 win season isn't unheard of.
