  1. If only I was allowed to still make fun of playmaker...
  2. Is this my Andy Kaufman SNL moment? I figured I had at least through the next bowl game.
  3. 13. Does this thread mean every one on the board is ready to unwad their panties and get over themselves?
  4. That's the kind of analysis you have to pay Fran $1,200...
  5. I love you.... But that kind of attitude of wanting to win this year does not support the best long term plan for the univrsity. Hells bells, Dodge didn't come here to win the games he should... he came to win the games he shouldn't. In fact, winning out this year would be a failure because it would lead to bowl revenue, increase the fan base, make the program more marketable, make the coach look better, sell recruits and make us all feel better about ourselves. Did you know that some coaches did not always win games certain years, but have had very good careers based on other seasons? Sure, we could possibly be 2-2 with Vizza and a D but that is short term thinking. If we had a shot at a conference title, fans would think we have arrived and stop worrying about OOC games and a new stadium. They will revel in the falsehood of this victory like the Israelites in the story of Exodus around the Golden Calf while Moses is away. Beware the false idol of winning conference games!!! I for one am glad we are finally seeing the big picture. If you don't agree with me, you don't understand football. And you wear tampons.
  6. What an odd thing for you to say Keith...
  7. I heard he was going to play Riley
  8. FAU not being able to call their plays without us knowing them might have helped: http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports/conten...Ufoot_0924.html Funny how halftime adjustments changed that. A 20-0 run hurts...
  9. UT is on shaky ground and has a QB who probably needs to not be playing but has no coach with the stones to hold him out OU had a very embarrassing loss to CU and will have to answer questions quickly to not fall off the map OSU had the rant and a loss to Troy. They are 1-11 in road games under the third van Gundy brother Tech fired a coordinator with a brain cancer stricken wife and mike Leach continues to throw his team under the bus at every opportunity. Luckily the fans are mostly too drunk and stupid to notice as long as they beat A&M. A&M is its own mess, with a crappy, overrated QB declaring that he will "die" for a coach who won't survive the season. Does that mean they can take McGhee with him and then put that Johnson kid in? He looks like a freaking beast...a non crack-head's Vince if you will Baylor squeaks by powers like Texas State and cannot catch a pass to save their lives. Iowa State has lost to a I-AA school and Kent State, and the big win over Iowa is looking more hollow every week. It's weird that Texas assistants can't coach once they leave - it's almost like they line up the most talent and pray it works, like when you run the same 5 offensive plays and a base defense agaisnt crappy teams in NCAA for XBOX KSU has the most positive energy of any team except for maybe... Kansas, who is #3 in offense and defense with a schedule that would make Texas Tech blush Colorado - one win over OU would look better without a struggling OT victory over CSU and ass kickings by FSU and ASU Mizzou has a god awful defense that will probably be their undoing in a stronger than expected North. They also have to visit OU (I'll be there) Nebraska escaped an average Wake Forest team and Ball State by the skins of their taint and were pummeled by USC - which is no fault, but they shouldn't look worse than Idaho doing it. They are no Sun Belt, but to quote an ASU player talking to the fans after week one, "You guys are seriously Big 12?"
  10. Long time poster slap fight!
  11. There's rumors that Jimmy Johnson was looknig at property in CS last week. How funny would that be? What a sad year for the Big 12... couldn't happen to a "nicer" bunch of teams...
  12. On Saturday, A&M introduced their living head coaches before the game. The pleas for Stallings, Slocum and even Sherrill to coach the game were deafening. Someone asked Stallings near us what would happen if he was coach. He laughed and said "I promise you we'd have a hell of a defense." I've never seen a crowd more against a coach, and if the AD and other officials didn't notice the derisive "hssss" Fran got after a pooch kick and the sarcastic applause after every deep pass (imagine what a dozen or so of us did to Dickey times 6,000), they probably were too distracted by Bill Byrne's award winning commitment to turning the women's sports teams around.
  13. When I was in San Antonio a few weeks ago, an elderly Hispanic gentleman named Julian Igualmente Villalobos took me aside and wanted to talk about Mexican food. I told him what he enjoyed and told him what I didn't, causing him to bemoan the state of Tex Mex cuisine in a long, elegant rant that mixed the logic of United States with a certain Latin fire. I was in awe. Sheepishly, I asked him what he thought of Joe T. Garcias. "That mf'er has a swimming pool, hermano," he chuckled. "You don't question the food when that happens. I mean - a swimming pool in a restaurant. That's not a gimmick. That's just good food." We exchanged contact information and he promised to meet me later. The phone never rang...
  14. I am the Oscar Robertson of shocker joke set ups
  15. and it worked!
  16. The ULM/ASU prediction is shocking. I feel shocked.
  17. The best was how many people were doing it by the end... it was all the rage.
  18. "O f***, the D is taking on water and I am at a G** D*** loss on how to fix it!" - Todd Dodge Would that make you feel better?
  19. I like to think my taint work allowed me to mock both boards without caring, thank you very much sir.
  20. If only there was a place where people were already having that discussion...
  21. Saturday was pretty much one giant fluffy kitten joke. Except it was on us.
  22. One of the best, if not the best, sports management program in the country.
  23. I said I know that you are not whining - I should have clarified. But these posts as whole seem to be the enabler for others to whine about everything else that happens. I posted at a point where I am sick of hearing about how it is always the fault of someone who is not here or not fully responsible, whether that be Dickey, Bobby Ray, SMU, Texas, the Big 12, Ahmad Rashad, Kige Ramsey, spare basketball ref against UTA, the fans, Mandy McKinley, etc. I really was not calling you out in the way I think you guys took it, but I just have trouble looking at what could have been a 100 point beating. I personally don't care about being taken seriously. You know that. I do get mad when people mock our fan base as much as I had to hear this week and this season. You guys are like my handicapped little brother. I'll tease you all I want, but the moment someone else does I just get pissed and snap.
  24. Mandy is in the actual AD building, but the ticket office can process your request too. You could also just wave the money in the air wildly outside the windows and see if someone notices you.
