For every deluded Astros fans who told me these guys weren't cheaters: Clemens and Pettite are on the list according to the NY papers and the wizards at ESPN. Plus the new shortstop! Maybe the new killer B will be Biogonydal or Bionabol!

If I'm offended, these kids done f'ed up good. I will say this though: After hearing nothing about the tragedy for most of the season outside of the first few weeks, watching and hearing about how VT's ACC championship game was all about honoring these kids was pretty much a beating. Football does not fix tragedies. Baseball didn't fix 9/11, LSU or the Saints didn't fix Katrina and VT winning a conference title didn't fix this. Seeing a good movie doesn't fix anything - how does any other entertainment venture do the same thing? It's just a game.

I agree with your points about him in both OU games but I think he can have a - let's say Stephen McGee-like performance against Texas next year. He's a senior next year, so he just gets the one shot in Austin. As for the media coverage, my theory is that if you go to a journalism school or non-traditional power your grads make sure the coverage gets out there more. The Daniel family had a national or local crew at their house every day last week and we're asking for OU again in SI articles back in October. You just don't do that. You didn't see Sam Bradford or Indian Reservation Nightline or anything like that. Ever wonmder why Boston College kept making SI covers in the early 90s at every major upset? Editor was a grad. Please make it good. While we have had several conforntations lately, most of them have been devoid of enough facts or offensive language to keep me interested. There is a gold mine underneath all of the issues around the program to have some great discussion, bickering and screw posts over, but only if everyone promises to give 110% in supporting these efforts.
