I'm just glad that save some retirement era pants-pooping, this story can just go away. Old man river in my office felt the need to send one of those cliche America's Team is becoming America's Most Wanted notes out this morning. This followed a recent speech about how airlines don't need to be going after Hispanic clients because they'll never use business class enough. Then he crapped his pants and put on a clan hood - that was also, ironically, covered in crap.

The two draft picks right before the Mavs picked Nick Fazekas? Hot Carl Landry and Big Baby. I didn't watch much of either game last night because turning it on and seeing a clear out being run for George was enough to let me know the game was not worth watching before I even saw the score. New Orleans/Spurs and Lakers/Jazz in the next round? Its not a bad group of teams, but I think somehow we backed into the worst combination of the four best teams from a viewing standpoint... Meanwhile, Boston is debating if they can win the next two rounds with only four players and no pants.

Why is Tracy McGrady not getting ripped for his stupid comments about doing all he good last night? At least when he was younger he had the balls to guarantee victories. Now he just sits around making excuses. If this ends in a sweep, he may need 40 sports psychologists to get his head right for games besides East Coast basement dwellers. He is so talented, but he has not made a basket in the fourth quarter of two games. I make jokes, but this year, Dallas and Houston share the same pain.

We can't play Detroit next round - which is nice. I would never bet on it and am not sure if I want it, but if Calgary wins, we have home ice against the Avs while Detroit gets another opponent that will rough them up a bit but still lose. On the other hand, we know San Jose and have had great success against them the past few years. The Avs would bring some mental obstacles, but this team already shed a few of those. So I don't know what I want, but am curious what the rest of you think? I am torn on who I want, but I am glad my investment in rounds 1 and 2 will continue to pay off. GO STARS!

Last night leaving the Stars game, so jack ass in cowboys gear was chanting "Let's go Cowboys" so we kept yelling "This is a football town...woooo!" (this is a common joke with Nappy Headed Ho of TY Sports fame.) The guy got excited and started cheering with us, then realized he was being mocked and started yelling about the draft. I hate this city so much sometimes.

Oh I agree - but I think they have a small sliver of hope for next year and then all bets are off. I cannot stress how small the sliver is, unless Kobe's jokes about playing with Dirk come true in 2009. I agree they need them both, but I still don't think they are good enough unless you get Tracy and Yao giving a minimum of 50-60 points each playoff game because they are not deep enough. They need a Terry or Stackhouse type who can really join them and be the man - just like the early Cassel years. He is the best alien player ever. We ALL hate the Jazz...even if I slightly enjoy Deron Williams.

I would also like to add that I am bitter because the window for everyone I like or respect is closing and we are about to enter a world where the Lakers, Blazers, Jazz and Hornets dominate in the next few years...

Sigh....such a tired-head chest thump. I only drug T-Mac into it because I can't handle anyone who sings the praises of Yao Ming and T-Mac calling out Dirk. Just wanted to stick up for Dirk because he continues to improve and has been such an amazing story the last few weeks that questioning him whips me. When is the last time T-Mac or Yao have gutted out anything? t-Mac is out with a busted Vag 8-10 times a season and the Yao injury is one of the certainties of Winter. The Rockets always have an injury or something to point back to to excuse the failure (and several Mavs fans will whine about refs until they are brown in the pants)... but in the end, all of these teams are what they are and Dirk, choker or no, has done more than T-Mac ever did or will unless he leaves Houston.
