  1. Wait, if we haven't had a special player since 2004-2005, that means... a.) All those games of NCAA football the last three years were a lie. I SAW playmaker stars! b.) Johnny Quinn lived off the hype for two years c.) Casey Fitzgerald was a hard-working Irishman who brought a lunch pail every day d.) Using retroactive logic, Brian Waters wasted his UNT career by not changing the outcome of more games and should be no more celebrated than Robbie Vanderslice.
  2. Maybe we should just retire that phrase for a year or two to be safe.
  3. Henry Russell "Red" Sanders?
  4. I see the point now. Unless I'm mistaken, he was never a dedicated special teams coach at any of his previous stops.
  5. What if he passes for 4000 yards and 40 touchdowns but the defense regresses, leading to another 1-2 win season but with a fixed offense. Would you still want to fire Dodge and risk losing Riley or stay the course?
  6. I think there was at least one. Serious face.
  7. To be fair, there are plenty of interviews out there where the Daniel family openly discusses that they used the "helicopter" system to give Chase the best chance at success. There is pletny to be frustrated with here, but moving around for a better shot seems to happen all over Texas.
  8. You have everyone in a corner an soon your logical paradox will cause their heads to explode, just like you wanted. We'll find out next year if perhaps the talent this year was below last year's but improved through coaching and experience as other defensive players are added to a group that was baptized by fire. If not, people will just treat the Deloach return like that whole MJ Wizards' comeback and focus on the good times.
  9. Is there any existing analysis or location where this could be debated into the ground - perhaps back in time a little after mid-season? I think if we were losing more competitive games, you would probably find one dozen or less Dodge-haters out there. It's the stunning severity of the losses that seems to stick with folks. Remember the shock when MTSU beat us 35-0? Now that would be a celebrated defensive victory and that is why many folks have turned.
  10. I love when one thing is posted in one board and then you start seeing the mutations show up in other threads. That being said, don't count out Texas A&M.
  11. The SBC (with a player OU wouldn't even take) has registered the first points in this year's Fullmer Cup Standings at EDSBS - which tracks the football program with the most arrests duringthe offseason: http://www.everydayshouldbesaturday.com/20...up-josh-jarboe/ Congrats Troy! We really are becoming quite the big time conference!
  12. Teehee. Congratulations! Teehee hee.
  13. Both of you shut it. Fans don't win titles - only teams do.
  14. MVP! MVP! MVP! How do you project Riley will do next year?
  15. That's right, don't let the haters/admins/most people with their "rules" and "standards" keep you down. Keep on fighting the good fight... you are the only light some will ever see. Until your post gets deleted again.
  16. RV got us a replay monitor!
  17. I see your point and agree with it to some degree, but if you're going to quit your job, don't you usually explore the market some while using vacation days and lunch breaks to your advantage? Is this worth ripping him over on top of everything else?
  18. Respond True or False to the following statements 1. If you liked Vizza, you must hate Riley. 2. If you support Riley now, Vizza is a horrible quitter and you are glad to see him go. 3. If you question Todd Dodge, you are metaphorically burning an American flag 4. If you support Todd Dodge, you also wanted to give Hitler a few more years to see how WWII would have played out. 5. If you defend things about former Coach Dickey, you obviously want him back. 6. In the middle of an emotional issue, you must never, ever look at the center of things and try to find middle ground and make some sort of peace. 7. If Dodge loses next year, RV should be tarred and feathered and sent on the first rail to Domino's Headquarters in Ann Arbor 8. If RV doesn't notice my pretty shirt, he should be tied to a chair and given the modern James Bond treatment 9. If you are able to detect sarcasm, message boards are less fun. 10. CBL is a hippy, commie Yankee d-bag with a gringus for an ear. Good luck!
  19. Whatever - persistence is key. We all know the second time is when you get to do the weird stuff.
  20. Tom Hicks and team wanting to save money and creating a situation that could paint young into a corner as a bad guy? Discuss. i loved what I saw of Andrus - especially live - in Frisco this year, but this makes no sense to drop the hammer unless San Francisco is really going to give us Sanchez for Blalock.
  21. I got the book for Christmas and am looking forward to doing a book report. I don't share your dislike though....but you never know.
  22. Yeah - I was pretty pissed when EA left Byerly on the roster a few years ago.
  23. I got to admit, I'm kind of pulling for the kid too. This just proves that not anyone can start a site and expect to have something worth saying:
