Good point - I'd flag it for Illuvius. Methinks hes gonna be pissed.
-
Agreed - and I never said they would record the sacks, just cause the disruption that makes it easier for the ends, linebackers and anyone else we send to clean up the mess.
-
That was my fault. But to be fair, all you white people look so damn alike.

A plummkin, if you will. Also, Booger Kennedy questions the statement that DTs only stop the run.

Mods changed it during his hiatus - aztecskin is your guy now.

Sorry GD, I knew about the background on the offense and am not opposed to using elements of it. I just wanted to follow up on the offseason resources link I posted earlier. I may try to find a couple of random things like this a week and let the admins sort them out. Just for fun, here's an NPA (?) story on it: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.p...toryId=95035232 And a highlight video: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJOm-IJcbg0&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJOm-IJcbg0&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

We have defensive tackles that are big. I hope they play well next year. I like their HS stats and how they project. If they are good, we will be deeper at the position. Controlling the defensive front makes your whole defense better as you pressure their offense to react to you and dictate things instead of sitting back and trying to react to what they want to do to you. Football analysis = brain surgery. Let's do it again the next time we talk about the defense, but maybe include their size in parentheses next time.

That and/or doing something to someone else's coke? As a prank perhaps?

I think the loose ends just need to be tightened up. Adding these tight ends to the program might make the package work better and be more efficient at getting America back on track. The only question is whether or not Obama would cast his own pride and possible arrogance aside to do what might work best.

They must have a good fundraising guy.

How do you convey a slow clap while wiping tears from your eyes? I love this board.

This was a great thread when people were chiming in happy thoughts with no logic or reasoning behind them for a few posts! 9703 made a good point and tempered his enthusiasm with I hope and project and let their be some air of uncertainty to it because that is all we have right now. To quote LongJim and a few others, it will all come down to the lines again. As a friend put it, "we have size now, not real school size, but Sun Belt size." Hopefully it's the start of something bigger (hey, see what I did there?)

At the end of the day, we know Obama knows his feet are to the fire here. This is his program and he gave up a ton of opportunities to do this. He could just as easily go back and take a nice Senate seat and continue his previous success, but he is here for a reason. Obama has already apologized to some mistakes and no one is working harder to fix the rest of these items than he is. Just give the man some time - he needs your support!

Why are we talking about June Jones - this is the NORTH TEXAS FOOTBALL BOARD! Move this thread.

Who wishes to think failure? Not everyone who doesn't share optimism for next season has an axe to grind with Dodge and Co.

Please start a new thread for haikus.

Most of the athletic department staff? -
Look - what's done is done. Obama apologized for what happened early on with that class and it became obvious that, despite their initial excitement about the new administration, they were still used to how things worked before him. His aggressive meeting schedule and demanding structure of accountability probably chased them off, because, let's face it, they are there first to develop as politicians and that is what Obama, unlike Bush, is trying to prepare them for. If we have to lose a few guys early, it will be that much better in the end when we have a White house full of guys all pulling in the same direction towards one common goal.

I have every faith that Obama will make the best decision possible - even if his own daughter is involved. She has been showing great aptitude and has already led her class to a few wins - including the school stock market challenge championship where her team made the most money. Remember, she is dominant where she is right now and is one of the most decorated students to come out of Sidwell Friends Academy. We were all excited to find out about her before the inauguration; why turn on her now just because of misgivings about her father?
