  1. How big is this game? Is it part of a larger stretch?
  2. +14 1980's stereotypes
  3. I know - but you already let me mooch of you at tailgates anyway, so I'll defer the prize.
  4. Well, to be fair, Bob was more focused on trying to bounce back from the Texas loss around the time of the vote and had to deal with losing his starting MLB halfway through the game. Mike Stoops was in the middle of his best season at Arizona yet and really prepped his team well for a number of games, including almost taking down mighty USC. Mark Stoops is also running the defense for AZ and recruits DFW, so he might have had his eye on this all along. I don't think he needs a chance to do this again. Ron Stoops, Jr. has a significant amount of high school coaching experience, so he might be keeping an eye on things here to figure out how he could make the leap. Ron Stoops, Sr. passed away in 1988, so I don't think we can really hold a re-vote for him, but stranger things have happened. I have no updates on what the two Stoops sisters are doing, but I hope they felt they had a chance to make their voices heard. It just seems unfair to take the whole family to task the way you have.
  5. I personally hated when the Texas media kept supporting the whole Branch Davidian thing in Waco.
  6. YEEAHHHH! WOOOHOOO! <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NTc4OyPHuY&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NTc4OyPHuY&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Hispid was totally the word of the day. How'd you know?
  7. The internet is hard to figure.
  8. A dad taking his son to the lake.
  9. +15 Irony
  10. It's all grand and it's all green!
  11. Oh God - you lumped me in with everyone. Gross. You agreed with my tiny refute of your post then. Handshake?
  12. I got a couple of four stars after my first season in NCAA 2009 and I only played the game for like a week to finish that first season. Call me when Dodge fits in 10 seasons and 8 National Championships into that short a time frame. Or when he returns a late interception to beat LSU 21-14. Or when I get paid $200K plus to succeed at his job. Maybe that could be our 2009 season slogan: Todd Dodge - Obviously more talented than the guy on the internet typing 'bout football. I think that's how Clemson used to market Tommy Bowden.
  13. You just agreed with everyone's refute of your post, so that's cool.
  14. So we reward Clinton super extra-trillion bonus points for happening to be in office during the internet boom?
  15. The shameful truth: A coworker and I are having a disturbing videos about/or made by Asians contest for no logical reason. It was in my inbox this morning. There are no prizes for this contest. EDIT: I'd also like to point out the coworker in question is Vietnamese.
  16. Good things are happening for bitching and whining! If she is an adjunct, you should be able to roast her to her boss and get her in some immediate heat. I would get a group of students to do it with you if possible.
  17. If she's a good researcher, her bosses won't care. I had this happen to me and I shared the situation with a professor in another department I trusted who was outraged. She contacted the other professors department (after promising to keep my anonymity) and shared the list of complaints. Your evaluations are the other recourse, but once again, most bosses have an idea of what is going on and choose to ignore it until they have their feet held to the fire by someone else. You should keep a blog of the crap she pulls and find a way to post it without revealing who you are. I know a site that would be happy to host just such a thing....
  18. I used to average a deleted post a day back in 2006. I've really been assimilated and tamed... or am I just like Sigfried and Roy's tiger?
  19. If it helps, I just heard a good line on the MSNBC feed above my desk. "This is like giving insurance money to the arsonists after a fire." The joy of a boss who likes Hardball.
  20. I love the combination of winning = whining you have there. I miss when we had both.
  21. Wow, I think there are 8 seconds left in overtime to fix this mess.
  22. Oh come on - we express divergent opinions all the time. I don't think my political beliefs expressed on the private forum of a sports message board do anything but create divisions between people whose opinions I mostly enjoy and bring out the worst in all of us as we start arguing issues that we will not change each other's minds on.
  23. I agree! EDIT: My plan to type "I disagree!" in the second posted identical thread has been cut off at the knees.
  24. Is that where you sleep on a cot and pass out drunk after a football game?
