Apparently, they have been debating Richardson for a few weeks now, but, from what I have read, the Mavs brain trust doesn't like him to be smart with the ball. I don't think signing Ben Wallace or someone similar to play 20 minutes a night is that bad a move in the interim - the real worry is that if Damp hits a certain number of minutes (2,100 I believe) he triggers his option and his here forever. Any spare center who won't get hurt is worth it at this point to keep him off the floor. UPDATE: After some more reading, I found this on another DB post: Still need a center, but no longer worried about getting stuck.

I interviewed the kid before yesterday's cyberterrorism great success launch party event. I was impressed with him as an 18 year old. He seems sharp and has a good leg. I did my best to gush about the Korean Peoples Army and Pyongyang. Glad he signed on, hope he falls in line with a decent tradition of leaders and dictators.

The difference is you care what we think a lot more than we care what we think. Ross is seen a a pretty good specialist if the situation calls for it, but I think we're going to have to rely on a combination of Howard/Kidd to at least slow the other guy or make him work. We can handle the PG lighting us up - it's when he goes for 10+ assists that we lose (remember the Phoenix series from 2006 where we just let Nash get his and focused on the others?)

Who's left for the MLE that we would want (or do we divide amongst Barnes, Daniels, etc.) - and if we somehow don't lock up Gortat, are we forced to turn our attention West to the Clippers Camby/Kaman log-jam?
