  1. If money is exchanged, should it be donated to a PAC of the most active posters choice?
  2. Are we allowed to talk about Taco Cabana on the main forum? Too soon.
  3. I'm not conservative, I just think you no write good.
  4. Are we voting for a non-political version? I voted yes, but it would be nice to have the no-politics caveat. Couldn't one of the few whining about the lack of a political forum get the cheapest, non-moderated site possible and take that part of the discussion there? I'm really sick of folks refusing to take responsibility and do something to fix their own problems.
  5. It's not a billboard, poster or tweet, but it's still pretty cool.
  6. Much better - but you still have a lingering scent of distilled vinegar from the Uptown crowd to fight through. If you can get a table with a non-blockable sight line, you are in good shape. Plus, they once let me throw up in the bathroom for an hour after close after overserving me in my younger days, so that was mighty decent of them.
  7. You know - we never censored this forum when Bush was president.
  8. Still high-fiving each other? Good work, guys.
  9. Where did your parents go to school?
  10. Haven't had a chance to write a recap yet, but my trip to Newberg Report night at the Ballpark was pretty awesome yesterday. 1.5 hours of the Baseball Prospectus guys followed by an hour of Jon Daniels talking about the team was enough to get the baseball wienie going - and the game only made it better. One of the highlights/odd moments was when a fan thanked JD for not meeting the rumored Blue Jays asking price - which then led to an incredibly loud standing ovation from the 350 fans granted access into the meeting. I know there are some mixed thoughts here, but the amusing part was JD's stunned line afterwards: "Wow, I guess I should do nothing more often." [insert your own joke there.] Feliz makes me happy tonight not simply because he held Oakland scoreless in their stupid cavern park, but he made bats miss with a variety of pitches - and hit 100 5-6 times. If he and Holland really do figure out how to pitch as starters, this is going to be fun.
  11. With apologies to Fire Joe Morgan (and this is not me taking a political stance, just an ode to logic and mockery): Hello. Why hello there. you F wads think Barrack wants to raise taxes on you people The "F wads" obviously do think that, so I hope you are setting them up with a good counter-argument. guess what it is the deficits left to us by your administration. The hypothetical tax increase is? I assume this means that your counter is that Obama really doesn't want to raise taxes but the deficit left by the previous administration is too high, but then, aren't you just agreeing and offering the same rationale my mother used before she spanked me? So just shut up and take it. Bobby Knight agrees. You really think after the massive military buildup....cutting taxes on wealthy corporations, bailing out Wall Street right before leaving office, no absolutely no oversight by Delay and Gingrich on the housing market. Not sure how to respond to this sentence. Yes? That we would be in this mess. So, you're horribly constructed sentences ask me if I really think that we would be in this mess after those things happened? Also, you seem to have periods pretty much down, but a quick review of commas, apostrophes and how to change would to wouldn't should be on your afternoon to-do list. Your administration caused it so you could say yea we are invading a country......... So deal with it!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I want to be confused, but the 5 exclamation points and 9 periods (or is that 3 ellipses) make me just to want to invade Iran once the Afghanistan thing blows over. You people need to understand, What do you mean you people? Also, congrats on the comma. the system was broken and now we are trying to rebuild parts of the engine... If my car is totaled, I usually don't sit around trying to fix the timing belt, but okay. so just try to keep up that positive attitude you had for the last 8 years while you looked at your Brokerage statement and thought why is this not moving? No one made money during the past 8 years? Or why your insurance premiums are going skyrocketing up........WHY WOULD WE NEED TO RAISE TAXES ON THE MIDDLE CLASS RIGHT NOW? To pay old debts my friend! The core statement that makes sense and summarizes your argument....buried in the crazy. You did us a favor by putting it in caps, but I recommend leading with it next time. I hope you enjoy singing God Bless America at the ballpark because after 9/11 there was no more take me out to the ballgame.....which is a much happier song in my opinion! I do also love the national anthem.....but one is enough don't you think. Then we finish the race by passing on the outside, cutting in front of our rival, zip to the front, fence him off and then....we wave our genitals out the window, do a figure eight in the infield and then crash the car into the crowd in a fiery wreckage of death. I can't even figure out how you got here, but that's not the point. Do you attend baseball games? God Bless America is not even played at every game anymore - and, when it is (like say, last night's Rangers game) - they play "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" right afterward. They added a part about socialized medicine and a pledge of allegiance to the Cheney family, but it's still all there. Dude, your arguments are there and you can expound on them. You're not a dumb dude - just try self-editing every so often. We want to help you, but only you can open the door to change.
  12. Check your "Heroes of GMG" trading card collector's set. All the vitals are on the back.
  13. Looks like a shot at some of you
  14. Agreed - if there is one thing I am sick of of, it is fighting to help NT kids get internships and then having them screw it up with this same crappy sense of entitlement and attitude.
  15. Figures. I come here looking for a Ball State fan board talking about us and you hijack it by talking about us.
  16. I saw you arriving and was trying to make my way towards you, but had a couple of things in the afternoon in both Flower Mound and Murphy I had to get to in the early afternoon that had me leaving in a hurry after I checked my watch. I didn't even get to say adios to the few folks I had already seen, so sorry if I angered anyone by withholding my awesomeness. As for the run, I thought it was well done. They had to keep pushing it back because of lightning (I think you have to have 30 minutes without a strike to be allowed to run), so that lead to a few starts and stops beyond their control. Still, considering the toll bridge one got canceled, it was cool we still go to do it. I had heard 400 folks had signed up before the weather, but the herd was thinned out a bit. Hank MCed the start line and they had Boomer on hand (and managed to get him firing in the rain -- which is not easy.) Muddy course with some fun sliding moments and tough hills - but it was good. The finish took you down a steep hill that nearly wiped me out and then you got to burst through the helmet and pretend you weren't some uncoordinated jackass. I highly recommend it if you like North Texas and can even tolerate running.
  17. I am sure this will come up at length during tomorrow's Newberg Report Q&A with JD and I'll be happy to fill you in during the game about what was sad. He gets pretty candid with that group, so it should be good times. Also, love your pearl necklace blog.
  18. Cantly was the most impressive beef I've seen in person since... (choose your own adventure joke time!) Seriously, that was a fun morning and a well-run event. Impressed how the AD handled the storm issue without a real hitch for the folks running. That was a beast of a course with the mud - especially the sliding hill of death into the finish line. It was also nice to meet a few of you and successfully avoid Kram again (sorry about that, good sir).
  19. But bitching doesn't.
  20. Somewhere, Troy Phillips is seething.
  21. Holland, Hunter and Smoak was too much. I hope they revisit talks, but that is too high a cost.

  23. I think it takes Feliz and Smoak as your deal base and you build from there. I'm still on the fence on what I want them to do, but am very excited to attend the Jon Daniel's Q&A about whatever happens on Sunday. I also think Chris Davis will be back with a vengeance in September and beyond, so trading Smoak doesn't hurt me as much. Still, it's nice to see Smoak pull his average up over .200 in the last few weeks at AAA. Should make an interesting dilemma down the road - but remember, we also need to replace Blalock next year too.
  24. How long did you stay? Was it hard fighting off the other kids who wanted to play?
