Man, what a great Thanksgiving. I pretty much just took it easy with family this weekend -- saw my nieces and nephews, ate too much and watched some fantastic football. How about those Cowboys -- 8-3 after a 2-2 start? Pretty special stuff. I just hope Romo is ready to shake those December blues because they have quite a tough road ahead. Anyway, it seemed to be pretty quiet on the board with the holiday weekend and all. I guess folks figured we were 2-9 and just wanted to see the boys play hard. Another hard-fought four point loss to ASU is not ideal, but hey, it was good to see them fight. I haven't checked the box score yet, but it sounds like Riley and the boys just came up a little bit short. Still, all those close losses should just be a preview for when we get it going next year. From what we would get at these holiday week games a few years ago, I thought it was a pretty good showing (it's all relative). It was a very hard game to get into -- there were a few times we'd string together a couple of baskets and the crowd would be ready to burst open and we would turn it over. Still, it was a good blue print for a road game and the defense seems already way ahead of where it was last year. The offense should (knock on wood) come around in the next weeks. As long as we can get 2 of the Boise, Rice, A&M road trifecta, we should be in good shape heading into conference play.
