  1. Based on what I learned from you guys last year, we're at least 2 shady AAU coach hirings and a short-term fling with one of the biggest scumbag coaches of all time short of an Elite 8 run. Don't give up on us though!
  2. Possible translation: be afraid, bottom-feeders.
  3. That way 10 other forums could post in on their boards and talk about how crazy our AD and coach are! Maybe we could tell people to Eagle up, then not live up to expectations while other people mock it. If we walk those first steps we put in place over the summer, the talk will take care of its self. That's why the Gary Patterson model of patient bravado appeals to me.
  4. To be fair, the largest Pull Up size is Xtra Large 4T-5T (for preschool to elementary schooled children 39+ lb).
  5. Some really smart posters here told me they left for better opportunities because of how great the WAC is. I mean, if a boss gets 16 employees promoted in 11 years, he must be one heck of a boss. /Wank
  6. I try to fertilize the cemetery once a month. The widows seem to appreciate it.
  7. Miggs and Jose are out because voters generally want a guy who is on a winning team unless he breaks some kind of high water mark (a 50 HR season with a .250 average for a .500 team might qualify/probably won't). Cano will be penalized for being part of a murder's row lineup -- even if he is the best statistical player on the best team in baseball. Mauer has an extremely high WAR and being a catcher gets you a bump (see Pudge and Mauer's previous wins). Mauer has a better OPS and depending on which measure you use, a better WAR. Josh's defensive rating is negative, which means if his BA slips a bit and Mauer can break 20 HRs and make the BA close, this will be a race. I don't want anyone but Josh to win, but I also don't think it's time to call the race.
  8. It's just about surviving the injuries and getting to September 1 up 6 or 7 games with Kinsler and Cruz healthy. Crazy we might add Hawpe later today. Also, back to MVP talk. It's going to come down to Hamilton and Mauer, and I think it's going to get closer than we think as Hamilton hits a few more weeks without protection while Mauer enjoys a fully operational battle station after a few months without Morneau.
  9. I thought we weren't allowed to ask what to do with them anymore?
  10. I have no idea how those two ideas you mention are related but: http://www.utrockets.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=18000&ATCLID=204970840 Hooray!
  11. Yes, I thought it was a simple comment. Javia was turned off by the product he saw on the field. Even if he had a chance to watch games before signing early, Jordan won't be.
  12. Yes, I would be honored. However, can I ask for a chance to fix the extra "that" typo towards the end first?
  13. Please remember this important disclaimer: Just because football hurt you in the past, it doesn't mean basketball wants to hurt you. Basketball loves you. It wants you to spend some time with it, get to know it; maybe go out for a nice coffee date or something. There's no need to rush into anything. Basketball is more spread out and gives you plenty of chances to go at your own pace. Busy on the weekends? Basketball can see you on a weeknight. Want basketball to meet your kids? Hey, basketball respects your past and will accept them as its own. Basketball will spend the holidays with you and stay even after football has left your house a trashed mess long after New Year's Day. Basketball understands if you love football. Football is king in Texas. It gets it and doesn't hold it against you. But, just remember, basketball is silently growing into a 5-11 stunner with a natural D cup and long legs underneath that conservative sweater top and reading glasses. You can ignore her now, but you're going to kick yourself for not talking to her when she lets her hair down and goes wild this season.
  14. I'm happy for their recent success and wish them well this year, but if they are the team of DFW, then the best any of us can hope for is about half to 2/3rds of the capacity of Jerry World caring about our team.
  15. Maybe we could connect the two of you and one other person somehow...
  16. To clarify, this is exactly what I meant with my last post.
  17. Luckily, we know Johnny won't "Todd Dodge" him.
  18. In your wrinkled $100 bill, gettin' sem pitchin'! /Unloads cliche gun on your lifeless carcass and leaves to go celebrate this fantastic moment //I love you
  19. He also refused to say it and banned his team from saying it until they made a BCS game last year. Said he wanted to take each step in the pyramid at a reasonable pace or something like that.
  20. Daddy's Baby Girl?
  21. I don't know if I just meant that they both would be lazy and ignore the other guy's work while just sort of trudging along (see the local Dallas Stars beat before budget cuts) or if I meant they would fight in a cage outside of Fouts to the death. I backed myself into a corner of cliches and lazy writing.
  22. No matter how you slice it, this competition should be great for the fans. Vito is throwing down the gauntlet that his competitor needs to not only be better, but $X/month better. I'd rather they acknowledge each other and each work harder to beat the other than vice versa. Hopefully, they both bring their A game this fall and beyond.
  23. Lolz. Competition is healthy.
  24. Turn your mic up. More you.
