  1. Let's be honest -- this should probably happen to everyone who checks GMG while eating dinner at a restaurant with family. Life lesson -- or invitation to make "Got your Goatse" t-shirts?
  2. How are we lucky enough to have so many experts on so many national, international and domestic issues in one place?

Offseason? Better question: Will Mubarak have to sit a year before he can play here?

Just lucky. And, add that to the fact that UNT students and Alums are very bright and BINGO you have it!

So are you saying that you are a expert on experts ?

  3. If his mom's a student, this whole thing just got a whole lot more interesting.
  4. MORE SCULPTURES!
  5. I bet it was that mic-on Denver guy's fault. I hope he loses a leg, too.
  6. A thousand times this. What do you all expect them to do when something good happens here, send us a cake? Grow a big enough peynus, and you won't have to constantly whip it out to prove it's there. People will know.
  7. One of the highlights of Robert Wagner's life was when he finally got rid of Natalie Wood, but some people probably still think he should have just found his own happiness.
  8. By posting long diatribes in the VIP forum?
  9. If it helps you feel better, I feel the same way. That's why I tell pregnants ladies to shut the hell up until they're actually holding a swaddled baby. Don't bore me with premis.
  10. I think it's cute -- reminds me of many of you the day McCarney was hired. But, you know, with $7M.
  11. http://www.thesportsbank.net/sidelineprincesses/bleacher-report-arrogantly-compares-itself-to-sir-laurence-olivier/ From a letter to writers:
  12. I remember hearing someone (maybe Florio) talk about how talent from smaller programs can be coached up and improved more nowadays because they don't have the same degree of resources as the bigger, semi-proffesional programs. This was in regard to how guys from Texas and Ohio State seem to be pretty much a finished package while guys like DeMarcus Ware or James Harrison become dominant once they have a level of coaching and training never offered them before. It's not a perfect explanation, but I think there's something to it.
  13. I want to talk about banks, not Wilson. Actually, I don't, so here's a string of unrelated questions I would rather discuss than EE's misinterpretation of the WSJ (and I would honestly enjoy your responses to all of these): Why did you put hard in quotes? What's your favorite craft beer you've triedthis year? Have you ever tried Crossfit or P90X? Which Super Bowl roster has your favorite long-snapper? Which is a more enjoyable road trip stop -- Buccees on the way to Houston or the kolache place in West on the way to Austin? Which basketball game has been your favorite so far this season? Will Dez Bryant stay healthy next season? Will there be a lockout? How can OSU take the next step defensively? Will the O take a step back without Dana?
  14. Do they help make footballs in Ohio?
  15. I agree the system sucks and it's not going to be easy -- but it's part of his job to find a way to make it happen. Get creative -- find a neutral site, offer money...he's got nothing to lose -- and can even gain from leaking a few names of who said no.
  16. Their AD gets paid a lot of money to take advantage of opportunities like this open slot. I agree it's not fair, but if you're a #1 team, what's a couple of road games against a top 10 team at this point to balance out the conference schedule? This spot should be looked at as an opportunity for them to play someone besides Tech and outside of the Big 12 to make a national statement -- even if they don't get the home and home.
  17. It's like half the people commenting on that thread get the joke and I can only assume the other half does do, but just want it to be true so bad they are willing to forgo common sense as they respond. I can see it now. Somewhere in the poorly translated Filipino sayings and the jokes about cousins, the juicy truth lays buried, waiting for you and a true man without rivals (SleepingGiantsFan) to dig it out for all of us. Godspeed on your mission. And, if this works out for us, I'm more than happy to credit some guy's joke thread for any and all success.
  18. Texas Tech is probably the bump they need to show people they're for real.
  19. Or a really obvious one that kind of separates wheat and chaff across the interwebs.
  20. If our old friend TennesseeBoyintheRockies and all 2 of his posts there confirms it's not a joke -- IT'S NOT A JOKE!!!!
  21. wher'es tHe sldshow!?
  22. Where's the heavy-handed thread explaining to me what this holiday means?

Emmitt is more concerned with Burger King than Martin Luther King. He was really our only hope.

  23. Agreed. You should direct your letter to their holding company in Finland.
