Does Big East Hold Key To WAC Expansion
Quoner replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
Good thoughts, but why is everyone assuming the Big 12 holds? It seems like just a matter of time before Texas goes independent (as seen by the recent TV exclusive conference game broadcast announcement) and TAMU and possibly OU bolt for the SEC. Without them, what keeps that conference from being picked off and absorbed into super conferences? -
I prefer the Scarface version:

He seems like such a good dude. If it works out, thank you. -
You'd think so, but you don't really know our fans. If you want to respond in a way the GMG crowd understands, just take pictures of Case Keenum practicing during a flyover. They'll love you for it.

Does Big East Hold Key To WAC Expansion
Quoner replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
One night I dreamed a dream. I was walking along the beach with Hayden Fry. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from Mean Green football DVDs. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me and one to Coach Fry. When the last scene at Fouts flashed before me I looked back at the footprints in the sand. There was only one set of footprints. I realized that this was at the lowest and saddest times of the program. This always bothered me and I questioned Coach about my dilemma. "Coach, You told me when I decided to follow You, You would coordinate conference advancement and refusing to lose all the way. But I'm aware that during the most troublesome periods of our program there is only one set of footprints and a few empty beer cans in the coaches office. I just don't understand why, when I need You most, You leave me." He whispered, "My precious child, I love the Mean Green more than Iowa and that crap hole SMU and will never leave you, never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you." -
Needs more R.O.B.

Just as dialed in, but I think a lot more people have tapped into the LSB, BTIA and other numerous communities and are now keeping their fixes separate. -
Nice to see an ad during the ESPYs as well (except for the whole ESPYs part.)

That part was laughable, but what's his end game for the attention at this point? Coach a gay team? Do some gay sports broadcasting? Get a free gay pass to the gay club? Find better inroads to the gay coke community*?I feel bad for some of you. Between the Mexicans approaching from the South and the gays marching in newly formed pairs from the North, you have a lot to worry about. Actually, it's probably the last one.

Texas? Never heard of them. But almost beating Arizona in the 2000s was a big deal!

No, but the Jesuit Ursuline Ranger Band has. Let's go post on their board!

I wonder what the two Houston Cougars watch? Old VHS of the Tia Carrere scenes in High School High?

GWTOGMT -- who knew it was so regional?

I actually lost track of your analogy when you picked a tabloid target who hasn't been relevant for 5 years, but I doubt they're watching much of either network. If you're lucky, they may pick up a stray Alec Baldwin comment or Family Guy joke and call it a day. I just hate the idea that a good and bad network exists.

I think the debate was more about billboards for billboards sake. Like most of the stuff debated here, they're a tactic, not a sole means to an end. Seeing the ad, Pr and marketing efforts all supporting one unified message (stadium/football/McCarney) has been pretty cool and new for us.

If you're not going to answer the questions from other people asking you to list sources besides the nebulous internet, aren't you just as guilty of grandstanding/obstructing the issue/being insane? You cant write a term paper and cite the library (and if you can, I'm kind of pissed to just be learning this now.) We're just notseeing what you are... To paraphrase the great SilverEagle, you're getting out-talked. -

meaning no disrespect (meme alert!), the last time you pointed us to internet references, it did not end well for anyone, especially Chone Figgins or even the well-educated Phil and Joe Niekro.
