It's almost like the majority of the posters know little about actual football -- probably from all the time they spent learning everything there is to know about marketing, design, stadium layouts, architecture, politics, famous priests, the economy, fundraising, internal communications and countless other disciplines. Exactly (and nicely done on the horrifying response.) I know my excitement over this seems almost manic, but I've watched several bigger companies piss away more money on deals they never leverage well. I think this really is a nice mix of need with need.

Also, if they provide a service the university already pays for, who says the deal is all cash? Oh, and not to kill the lecture, but don't you have to subtract out the part of the stadium the student fee pays for?

Wait -- people are really debating the benefits or partnering with a company specializing in campus networks with a focus exclusively on universities? I know in some sense $20M is $20M from anyone, but as far as finding a partner willing to work with us and do whatever it takes to maximize this sponsorship's value, I don't think there were many better fits out there. Home run IMO.

I hope your registration experience went smoother than mine. I tried to register, had trouble and was told several times this how they do it on Tiger Droppings and Orange Bloods. Still, I couldn't find my handle correctly and I heard the same story from others. I heard we had more than 40,000 members, but our record for most fans online is still well under 400. This board obviously has more moderators than ever before, so I just question why there were so many glitches in the process. I hope we can expect better moving forward, but I am not optimistic about some of these long-time moderators.
