Texas Rangers
Quoner replied to UNT90's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Because the AL East has lit him up all year? Because you'll need him today? Because Adams had a bad day but is a great pitcher being put into his role, despite when you guys decide to flip on a game? -
DEFEND THAT ROMO FANS?

DEFEND THAT ROMO FANS?
Quoner replied to FirefightnRick's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
While Jerry takes it all to the bank. A real GM can build a winner around Romo. The rest of these other arguments are basically about whether you can wring 2 or 3 cups of lemonade out of a rotten lemon, old sugar and some gutter water. -
What's with the conspiracy theorists and other talk?

Hmm...I like how you embrace this, but you have a lot to live up to. -

I don't disagree with your basic point, but I also thought Andy Rooney was retiring today. -
To be triply fair, posting in this thread just keeps it on top of the board.

Why should they be ranked?

I've always imagined Jesus would have a UNT rocket ship designed by Under Armour. Thanks, kids!

I wonder what the Sox would give for Murphy and Engel Beltre now. God, I love JD. -
Denton is the official HQ for Sooner Fans...
Quoner replied to michagb's topic in Mean Green Football
Well, Denton certainly knows how to plan a party. No locations, no directions, but a link to a train and some times. Hell of a job, CVB, and congratulations on your half ass effort to profit off something that should be a layup. -
Wanting to talk about sports seriously is just as much a sign of Idiocracy as the flip side. I may be alone in this, but talking seriously about a kid's game without being paid or associated with the team in a personal way (paid, coach, kids) seems inherently sad when you think about it. And yes, I know we're on a college message board. Ironing is delicious.

We sing hurrah for the blue and gold. Awesome. EDIT: not being sarcastic, either.

Ticket programming is like a reverse donut -- the sports sit in the middle of the day from 10-3, and the other stuff flanks it. The format works and draws enough ratings that scolding them for not talking enough sports is like telling Jenna Jameson to put on a shirt and start reciting Macbeth. I think unconditional loyalty to a radio station is weird, but they are my strongly preferred option when a live sporting event is not on the table. Also, random aside, I can't get enough of Norm's show when a team I care about is in the playoffs. I also used to like when Sean Bass talked about baseball here before we crushed him with stupid.

Couldn't win in Tampa last season either. Bring any of them on. -
Gotta get rid of Romo

But OMG -- other teams might play at 2:30 or 6 p.m. CANCEL TEH GAME! A&M/Tech is on!

Ah, will this be the public unveiling of a long-held grudge? I've been waiting for Tasty since the thread was created. -
A girl in our group POLITELY called him out on it. He then bought her a hot dog. Moral: a little kindness goes a long way - possibly as far as 10 inches.

Agree. I also hope I made a favorable first impression, because things sort of went hazy for me within 30-45 minutes of shaking your hand.

Ezzzakly. And I lean towards Moss.

Devry and a coin flip.

No offense to the kid, but if McNulty is our best QB options when this lost year of eligibility is a factor we're doing it wrong.

I thought it looked short, then saw it went about 12 on the replay. I was in 208, so it was semi-similar angle.

Big shout out to the IU girl in the "Fight for the Cream" t-shirt. She was my anchor during a sea of drinking today.
