Is It Time For North Texas To Sell Beer At Apogee?
Quoner replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
An opinion is one thing; 15 threads about it is another. We can argue if you want, but given the chance to side with you or McCarney, I'm taking McCarney. I feel better about these first 6 games and the direction we're going than I have in years, even with all the holes we need to fill on our roster moving forward. A backup QB who may or may not be a factor in 3 years as we improve recruiting just doesn't lead me to publicly whine and accuse a coach of nepotism and favoritism, but.. different strokes... -
Love Realignment?

If you’re looking for a good time, look no further. Shreveport’s hottest club is Crease. Club promoter Tranny Oakley has gone all out, and inside it’s just everything: lights, psychos, Furbies, screaming babies in Mozart wigs. Sunburned drifters with soap-sud beards. It’s that thing when a hobo becomes a rich man, so they take the big bubble bath.

Is It Time For North Texas To Sell Beer At Apogee?

Are you kidding? We're halfway in and we've already had a number of dumb complaints highlighted by the growing conspiracy theory about Coach Mac supposedly playing his favorites to sabotage the season while chaining Canales to a radiator and forbidding him from calling plays. The sad part is that is basically progress for the group. -

The unexpected outcome of offering tickets to a friend
Quoner replied to shart965's topic in Mean Green Football
We gotta ban Longjim... and I bring new people to games all the time. I just don't go around seeking internet medals for it. I miss sparring, but we both know this will end in a hug. -

If I don't like a word, I redefine it. Shart (v) - the act of bringing friends and family to Apogee. EX: I sharted Chad and Ranjit to Homecoming and everyone had a great time - despite the mess. -
Nah, bro. We're going to the Big 12!!!!

Well that seems really out of character. -
UNT pretty much irrelevant in the Dallas area

Heretic. -
It's almost like a young quarterback is learning how to see the whole field while balancing making smart and safe plays on check-downs to keep the game in the hands of the defense. It's a rare thing, but it's just crazy enough to work.

So at this point, does your appearance mean Chase Baine did or didn't see his shadow?
-
True, and the players actually accomplished something yesterday, so double whammy.

In short, KRAM and Mean Green Matt don't like baseball as much as another group of people, attendance will likely be down with everything going on this weekend and we all want the football team to never lose a game again, which is we post on a message board about it. CONTROVERSIAL!

Two team narratives at work, but both are very similar. One team was in shambles and slowly rebuilt from the ground up. Everyone saw little return early and found plenty of reasons to second guess and nitpick the new leader. Still, he stayed the course and kept learning. This process really started four years ago, but most of the benefits of his approach would take at least two years to be visible outside the diehards. Now, everyone who invested in that journey has a great chance to see the final payoff for that investment and dedication. There was no urgency to watch every single game when the process started -- it was more about kids getting experience, building reps, figuring out roles and unlocking potential. The progress was not a crucial in game moment, it was about following the narrative of the team and seeing what happens. Another team we all love is starting a similar journey and the same process has hopefully begun (because it's pretty similar so far.) I know UNT is on the right path, and I will be at the game, but the idea of this game being more important than a winnable ALCS series is just absurd. Caring about the Rangers doesn't make you any more or less of a UNT fan and anyone who wants to beat up anyone for making a perfectly reasonable sports argument is just being...I don't even know the word...stubborn, idealistic, biased? Worst case scenario -- attendance is down for one home date, but the bigger picture is what will ultimately pay off for the program. It's when people stop caring or believing in that vision you need to start worrying.

Total McCarney conspiracy to make me type that.

If we still had TulsafansinTexas, crap like this wouldn't happen. Or, you know, if FAU had fans to come talk trash.

Screw Fatterson for making Jones the good guy in all this. I guess you loose your perspective on what got you there once you get an administration and AD that coddles and caters to your every whim for a few years.

Texas Rangers

If anyone wants to complain today that Ogando should have pitched two with a tired Feliz up, I wouldn't argue with you. But, complaining today just seems silly. Go Rangers! -

I hate when Kinsler pops up over the left field wall.
