The proposed idea is when your legs are tired from playing more basketball at a high level, it is harder to shoot FTs. The attempt numbers don’t impact that.

He slipped on a loose banana peel in a cruel but admittedly hilarious summer camp gym demo mishap and has been unable to cradle a basketball the same since when going through his FT routine. People are showing him videos constantly and they flew in a specialist, but he continually finds himself unable to move on and let go. Or there’s natural variance and his role’s expanded with an increase of more than 8 minutes per game from last season, but not sure why we’re arguing over this. EDIT: This is a theory that looking at the breakdown of team percentage by time (and maybe a few players) could support or disprove. I don’t think I’ve found some magic explanation but been trying to think about what else might cause this beyond typing that they should shoot FTs better and wishing real hard.

We also had some different players and current guys had different roles and we weren’t second in the nation by a finger nail in defense, so… K.

Is there a link between tough minutes defending the way we do and legs/energy to make these late? I know it’s hard for fans to watch missed FTs and have been guilty of adding lost points back in during almost any close game at any level, but was thinking maybe some of this is a trade off for the rest of what the team does. Is there an easy way to break down FT percentage by half or even 10 minute marks? Sure would be nice to shoot over 70% in tournaments, though.

I have no idea what either of you are talking about and don't think either point here properly captures Denton at all. Could you all elaborate with real, recent examples for each of your takes?

Very fun game. If you could measure and plot the crowd energy and atmosphere on an axis, it’s come a long way since the holiday break. I think I heard three songs during the second half released after 2017, so we’re seeing growth all over the court.

They do https://www.state.gov/reports/2020-country-reports-on-human-rights-practices/kazakhstan/ Worked for a company that had an operation there and the stories and precautions were pretty similar to attending conferences or events in China. Just because an email forward didn't tell you to be scared of it doesn't mean it's not scary.

Counterpoint - every adopt a player thread requires a personalized sponsorship of said player. Many of you can finally fulfill the dream of making those kids work for daddy (or mommy.) Also, if your student athlete outgrows your budget, someone else can roll in and take them from you. The intentional and unintentional comedy possibilities are endless and it will almost surely be my favorite season to date.

Going for a program first against UTEP

They said 9-1 was the best start. I’m getting reports 9 is less than 10 and these are different stats, but need a former player to confirm.- 13 replies

Just to even further align this unlikely roundtable, this old story gives very surface level analysis of why BMI sucks: https://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=106268439 The insurance industry loves it and continues to push for it to never go away. Personally, I love proving I can still run relatively fast miles and getting weighed by a mobile nerd as much as the next guy to keep life insurance payments low whenever I need to raise the policy, but this thing is in a big pile of money making trash right next to the unnecessarily complicated tax filing process (shout out to Intuit lobbyists!) and a perfect pillar of the non-sustainable weight loss/wellness industry that make certain people very rich or richer (grita a Lirio del Desierto!) Maybe there is hope for this section of the board to band together after all.

Hear me out - we get the Argyle Police Department to donate one of those giant parking lot watching crane things they put out in malls around Christmas and Andrew sits up there from the middle concourse in the Pit until he can find Emmitt at the game and draw a nice picture of him. Once he's done, we all clap, mic him up and let him do play-by-play through a special streaming feed for everyone in a special upper deck section of the Pit that is typically reserved for bats and little kids who can't sit still in normal seats. Out of town fans can also donate $5 to hear the Andrew feed at home. Additionally, every Andrew picture is left on a special seat to reserve that seat as off limits for future games (don't sit on the marked seats!) and we slowly make our way around the top of arena each game. Also, if Grant plays 10 players in a game, everyone who has ever been to a North Texas game gets a free Wendy's value menu item. Now who wants to approach Buffalo Wild Wings about sponsoring a charter for a certain rematch so we can close out all the open plot threads? -
What is this list? Just going off memory, I can remember recent Texas/Ohio State, Texas Notre Dame, Oklahoma vs. Ohio State and the Baker Mayfield flag stuff, Oregon playing I think Tennessee and Virginia and several others. Also recall BC played at UNI and being annoyed we didn't bring them here. You're also missing a lot of the Arlington neutral site opener type games. Your point that it should happen more isn't wrong - this list is just weird and incorrect. In Three Stacks terms, "Sorry Mike Jackson, data ain't for real."

Didn’t that get settled in the bowl bonus payout thread? The answer is very clearly “not if I’m mad at them.”

Oh no! I'd hate to see a ton of weirdly personal and esoteric skirmishes break out among the message board crowd. Unheard of and possibly something we'd never come back from.

North Texas WINS when we're wearing our Green and White uniforms
Quoner replied to ADLER's topic in Mean Green Football
Needs an area code on the back and we're in business. TANGENT: My son outgrew his Cobbs jersey so we went in to get him a new game shirt on Friday and he picked out a black shirt with a green Texas and shooting star on it. I was trying to steer him to green, but the heart wants what the heart wants. He is now convinced this shirt is the key to all good things and I had to fight him to properly clean it post-game. He held it during the Drake game the next morning, too (fresh off his first basketball game against UTSA before the holiday.) Put us in the Frisco Bowl and I'll personally guarantee we end the bowl losing streak with him and the shirt.
