  1. Would he have been at a NAIA School? Their rules allow 4 years of competition without the 5 year clock.
  2. Call or Email Chad Leblanc ( chad.leblanc@unt.edu ). Chad is the Associate AD for Compliance.
  3. I believe that may be Greg Browns "Lil" Brother. Sorry, Can't remember his first name.
  4. The UFL skipped last year so really only year number two.
  5. Tamez just got here within the past couple of weeks, not 100% sure he is even eligible to play. Stud HS Kickers do not always translate to College Kickers. The transistion from a kicking block/tee to ground makes many HS Kickers become just students. I do not remember hearing about Tamez from any of the kicking services. On a side note, Tamez & Paul tied during the kicking competition on Sunday, both missing 1 FG, while Ohlen went 4 of 4.
  6. How does he do without a Kicking tee/block? Zach has the leg to kick it 60, i've seen it. Check out Ohlens videos and you'll see the exact same thing, even game film with rushers, a snap, and hold. Zach can get the job done and there is no denying that the problems Saturday were on him, the blocked FG @KSU was not (xtra PT...maybe). I don't see Zach shrinking from his responsibilities and I believe he will work hard to correct the problem. If Ohlen doesn't, then Paul (or someone else ) could get the call again and I think they will take advantage of the situation if it happens. You seem to like being critical of your sons teammates, you might want to chill a bit, at least until Connor is in the spotlight and others can return the favor. For the record, I like what I've seen out of Connor so far and I am excited about his future at North Texas! GMG
  7. Spoke with RV early this week. He mentioned they were getting together this week(Wed or Thur) to finalize the demolition plans (what stays and what goes from inside the faciliy). Once that meeting was complete, they were to get started very soon. Still on track for a December completion.
  8. Carlos has played in both the TSU and KSU games although I don't remember him touching the ball.
  9. Two Hours prior to KickOff is the standard response. That being said, they were 15-20 minutes early last week so many missed the walk. Listen for Boomer which should be fired approximately 5 minutes before the team bus arrives!
  10. D-Line occupy the blockers so the LB's can flow to the ball. Our Safeties and CB's are also alert to providing run support. Most of the tackles, made by others than the D-Line, were still close to or behind the line of scrimmage. If the DB's make the tackles at the line of scrimmage, there is not a problem. On the other hand if DB's are making the tackles in our secondary, on rushing plays, then we have a problem.
  11. There were about 700 Mean Green Fans at our watching party in Baton Rouge! GMG!
  12. OSU Starters were gone before the 1st quarter ended. The participation reports shows 97 OSU players in that game.
  13. LOT 3 is the Athletic Center Parking lot, Lot 2 is the West side of the stadium, Lot 1 is behind the Wings(Alumni Pavilion), and Blue/Red are by Victory.
  14. I'm thinking that UNT needs to dig deep and buy some airtime on next weeks Cowboys Broadcast!
  15. It's 110 degrees the only thing cool is the Post Practice Ice Baths! ....and to Slick Rick, Never once have I made an apology for the Athletic Department in this thread. These types of false statements are why I put absolutly zero stock in anything you complain about. If you can attempt to completely change my postings, why wouldn't you do it when talking about the other folks gripes you've mentioned. So Sad. I believe I've typed enough, I apologize to all those that wasted their time reading this thread. GMG!
  16. Back to Reading 101 for me! The Tuesday night game is Not TSU, I knew that, my bad! I can admit my mistakes, how about you for once. Concerning the Opening game promotion, can't answer that one. If you're concerned and really want an answer, drop a line to the Development folks. I don't need a promotion but I understand the importance of getting people into Apogee for the TSU game especially when you have so much disinformation floating around from certain INDIVIDUALS. I really appreciate you trying to twist the facts, some won't ever change their spots. I'll attempt to clarify my response since I've confused you. Basketball Closed Practice invite happened last year, no matter how much you want that to not be the case. They weren't able to work out the Football Practice with Coach Mac twelve months ago. Twelve months later, done deal for Football and I suspect they will have round two for Basketball this year. That would be two invites to closed practices in one GMC membership year as opposed to only one (Men's Basketball) last year. I'll be attending the closed Football practice this year on the 24th. Twelve months from now, I'm sure you'll say it didn't happen. I think I'll keep my invite just in case. GMG!
  17. I see what you did there. Once again, what you think you know is completely incorrect. Promotion - We're playing the ONLY Football on Tuesday Night at Apogee in front of a National Audience. That right there folks is one helluva promotion!
  18. It's been in the works for over 12 months but whatever you want to believe...
  19. You must not know Rick. (I got one also, by the way)
  20. The brochure states "PRACTICE", singular, not plural. Last year there was an invite sent out letting you attend a "CLOSED" Basketball practice. Whether any other practices are closed or not doesn't matter because this "ONE" practice was closed to everyone except Mean Green Club Donors at the $1000 level or above. MGC Membership is for a 12 month period, from August 1 through July 31st and is not specific to one sport. MGC Membership helps ALL Student Athletes and their particular teams. The perk listed on the benefit chart was fulfilled last year and it appears that Football and Basketball will be included this year but that is not offical. If this Perk is the deal breaker to join the MGC at the $1000 level or above, then I strongly encourage you to contact someone in the Athletic Development Department directly to get the official word and let them address your concern! GMG!
  21. If you were a member of the MGC last year and donated at the Bronze Eagle ($1000) or above level, you were invited to a closed Basketball practice, sorry I don't remember the date. Nothing last year for football. It is my understanding that the particulars are being worked out to include football this year, most likely to occur during an open week/weekend. The date will be of Coach Mac's choosing. So if someone lied, it is the person/s that stated the AD (AD or Athletic Department) did not fulfill the published perk of GMC membership. As always, if you want to know the REAL DEAL, contact one of the AD Development/GMC employees by phone, email, or in person. I've NEVER been left hanging by anyone associated with UNT Athletics! GMG!
  22. Question, No Info!??!?!?
  23. Coach Mac brought a Kicker, Punter, and Long Snapper in as preferred Walk-Ons. I believe all three are in school and participating in the summer work-outs.
