Hopefully, Someone will have made up some North Texas Jerseys for them like they got from SMU this morning! Craig's ought to have the name Hater or Traitor on the back of his. The one George got from smu has Russia State on the back.

UNT pro day tidbits, including some performances
UNTnewbie replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
The difference between lifting on your own and working out with others, according to a plan, while being pushed by your dedicated coach is huge. It's not just lifting by the way, it's familiarizing yourself with the drills you will be performing and practicing them before the test so much that it becomes natural. That practice didn't happen this year. The strength of our players has not been questioned and their performance during the Pro Day did not paint an accurate picture of the NT S&C program.- 48 replies

UNT pro day tidbits, including some performances

Wintrich leaving, when he did, really put these guys in a bad spot. The S&C coach usually has a program setup for guys to use prior to their Pro Day, that's how it was when Frank was here. The guys that couldn't afford to go outside NT, and don't have an agent to pick up those costs, suffer when this happens. This year, the guys lost a good two months of intense training on the drills they would be doing during their Pro Day and it showed.- 48 replies

Anytime a player gets in front of an NFL team Pre-draft is a good thing!

Lance Dunbar to return to the Cowboys in 2015
UNTnewbie replied to ntmeangreen11's topic in Mean Green Football
Yep, but the Raiders were at the Pro Day and that evaluation was what got him in at Oakland. Nope, Was responding to what I perceived to be a slap in regards to how Jamize was used during his time at NT. I don't personally believe a former player should be required to pay something back to his University but I would be fine with making the NFL team do so. Of course, that would never happen as that would be the NFL publicly admitting that College Football IS their Minor League system and yes, that would further increase the space between have and have nots. -

Yeah, Because Jamize didn't participate in the Pro Day at North Texas where the Raiders scout was able to watch him perform. -
We used Dr. McFarland off Main Street(Cross Timbers) for our kids and were very happy with the results and they had some serious issues to overcome. You can probably find a cheaper Orthodontist but the guy and his staff are loved by all of their patients. They were able to work within our budget and insurance restrictions. I highly recommend him.

One thing Coach Frank stated was that if he could get 100 (might have been 150) athletes living in Victory or on a Full Meal Plan, that cafeteria (Champs?) could be designated for athletics and he could control what was on the menu and hours of operation. Of course, most of the athletes prefer to live off campus and purchase their own food/drink. Not being on a full meal plan can cause issues with player nutrition and their ability to put on and maintain good weight throughout the year. The nutritional education he provided was one of the most important aspects of his training program and where he really wanted to expand.
-
NT budget restricted him from growing the nutrition side of his program and no, that wasn't going to change at NT this year. Highest Level of performance training was related to his lifting/conditioning program. He has 4+ levels of targeted training that the guys grow into as they progress each year. Coach Frank had some really awesome and interesting ideas on how to grow and benefit the entire NT Athletic program but the money and resolve were just not there. At BYU, I'm sure most of those ideas will get funded and implemented. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sure any of the G5 would have the ability to fund much more than what NT has and is able to fund.

2012 Offer #24 Trey Keenan Ol - Argyle Hs
UNTnewbie replied to SHOSS's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Lindenwood and Coach Ross are solid for a DII program. Recent NAIA move up. St Charles is across the river from the rest of St Louis and is a pretty nice area. A number of local DFW guys have moved through that program and they always have someone on the NFL radar. It doesn't hurt when the Rams are right next door. -
This is a HUGE loss! Coach Wintrich was finally able to implement his highest level of performance training beginning last off season. The growth he has provided in this program is unbelievable and actually had made NT a true DI program in every way. I'm sure Coach Mac will find a suitable replacement. Wintrich's program was different than the majority of Strength and Conditioning programs and the reason he took exception to the Strength and Conditioning moniker and instead always referred to what he does as Performance training. This had nothing to do with sideline issues and everything to do with budget and his inability to implement even more of his beliefs because of the limited budget at NT. At BYU, he will have the budget and support to completely implement his full performance program and that program will reap the benefits. Wishing Coach Frank nothing but the best!

Mo is very important to this basketball team

5 years of NCAA eligibility upon full time enrollment, 4 total in any one sport. Even if you exhaust your 4 years of eligibility in one sport, you can change to another sport for a year.

I'll take the under on that bet and spot them 6 wins.

My bad Christopher, I don't remember being able to go inside or seeing anyone inside. We spent the evening on the patio along with another dozen or so folk but I've slept since then and my memory isn't what it used to be.

We always park in the Victory lot. The lot closest to the Pavilion (Game Day Black lot) is not available as that is where everything takes place. You can still feel the heat from the bonfire while sitting on the patio.
-
The Pavilion hasn't been open the past two years but that hasn't kept us off the patio.

Correct on the Football and Baseball but that was due to Lewisville being the preferred retirement location for coaches with a couple of years left. Softball Team was 2012-13 5A State Champions. In descending order Flower Mound High, Marcus, and Hebron get the biggest chunk of change then whatever is left gets split between Lewisville and The Colony. One of the main problems was related to representation on the school board which has been changing over the last 5 years. If you're that close, you should make it a point to attend a Fighting Farmer Basketball game vs Marcus or FMHS. Well worth it if you like an electric atmosphere. Yes, I am a Fighting Farmer Homer!!!

They've been ranked for the last decade.

In general, TD/INT stats are thrown out by sportscasters and fantasy football geniuses sitting behind a desk or a keyboard, not by anyone that actually grades players for a living whether it be college or NFL.
