I think last weeks FIU game played against us this week. I'm sure the Bama players got a pretty good ragging this entire week for letting FIU hang with them. Today was a statement game for the Tide and if FIU had been the team this week, FIU would have had the same results as UNT did today. It's not just about teams but what happens week in and week out that drives football. Upper tiers still take game days off during the season, it's almost impossible to keep teams completely focused and a week like last week for Bama splashed some water on their faces and had them ready so they would not let it happen again. If UNT played them last week, I would've expected to have better results than we did today. I was happy with the o-Lines pass blocking today, wish we could've seen some deeper routes, more fringe running, and fewer punts. Overall, our guys played in front of a hell of a crowd in a stadium with a rich history, and should be able to learn some from the experience. This will toughen us up for the real season start next week!! GMG!!

Quit making excuses for not being able to read! Maybe you have the time to take a long walk off a short pier. Heck I'll help you most of the way so you don't get lost!

Take a closer look, throwing the kicking tee down on the sideline and walking away from the rest of the sideline with your head down pretty much tells me everything I need to know.
-
If you watched the body language of the Kicker, after the out of bounds kicks, you know that they were not meant to go out.

You are correct, the sack from behind which drove his left shoulder into the ground was when the injury took place.
-
After the Tune interception, Riley put his helmet back on and was windmilling his non-throwing shoulder so don't think it was a collerbone injury. He was hurt on the hit from behind when he was sacked.

There +10 confirmed ( Trying to get all of Lewisville there and will recruit at the Farmer Game tonight! )

Just a segment during sports portion of the normal nightly broadcast. Not really a show but our visability on the station seems to be on the rise with other appearances in addition to the games they broadcast. Good Times!!

I'm not sure there is much to worry about. The defensive game plan was to contain the RB postiion, QB scramble, and make the new QB beat us with his arm. This weeks game plan will be much different and the results should be just as encouraging as last week.

Obama To Speak To School Kids
UNTnewbie replied to KRAM1's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
The speech was released in direct response to the uproar, if they would have released the speech when they announced their intentions, there wouldn't have been an uproar a whimper maybe but nothing near to the volume of what we have heard. Contrary to the statements here, many worry about this administrations true intentions since many statements have been veiled from the beginning. Another mistep by this administration and could have been avoided by the transparency they have preached which has turned out to be hogwash. Without knowing what was to be said I wouldn't have been comfortable with allowing impressionable youth to be fed the company line that is being forced down the countries throat. If the administration had wanted to have a discourse with say Senior High students I would have been fine but that was not the only demographic this speech was being broadcast. You might want to take a look at the Muslim world and see what happens when students from a very young age are fed a company line through their educational systems. -
The one thing that impressed me more than anything was the quickness of both Cam and Riley. Everytime either of these two decided to head down field, they looked like they were shot out of a cannon. Both seemed to reach full speed in two steps which was simply amazing in my view. Royce had the same type of explosion which he shows when he closes on a pass while it is in the air. That's three starters with quickness that would rival anyone on the field.

How about UNT Promote a 'exchange your SMU Stub' for next weeks UNT vs Ohio to see DI Football?

Props To Those Who Traveled To Muncie
UNTnewbie replied to eulessismore's topic in Mean Green Football
It was also mighty nice of the Ball State folks to put on a fireworks show celebrating our win. It had to be for us since I think the UNT supporters outnumbered the remaining BSU Fans! -
Props To Those Who Traveled To Muncie
UNTnewbie replied to eulessismore's topic in Mean Green Football
I'm pretty sure us here in Muncie heard some Whoops and Hollers from the general direction of Denton! We had a small but vocal group here at the game and obviously everyone thought it was well worth the trip. Can't wait to see a post of FFR with his UNT WINS License plate!! The players seemed to like that on their way off the field. -
Late Field Goal decides the game, either it is missed to lose or made to win. I want to say it is made for a Mean Green win and the start of something wonderful. OK, I did say it! GMG Packed and ready to Roll, 8:10am departure!

Seems to be working for Okie State just fine.

I thought Medical Redshirts were only granted after all eligibility was used, including a players regular redshirt. I don't know the rules applied for transfers but if he would have stayed at OSU I thought he would have been able to request a medical redshirt for an additional year of eligibility. The transfer may change that.

Jerry's Jumbo-tron
UNTnewbie replied to SUMG's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
The crane is there to raise the board up for the U2 concert in October, not because of the NFL concern, and will be lowered after the concert to its original height. -
Way COOL! Thanks to everyone for everything you do!!

It's only a APR hit if he is leaving with he is behind on the academic side which I don't think is the case. If he leaves, UNT can reassign his scholly. I for one wish this young man luck, my gratitude, and God Speed for stepping up and serving this great country in spite of everything going on around the world. This young man has way more class than many of the youngsters hanging out at college campuses around the country! The flag I fly everyday is for you sir!

Have you checked out the "North Texas Football Facts & Record Book" on Page 8 of the Virtual Guide? I think it may include much, if not all, of what you are looking to see.
