  1. No quit in Dodge, No quit in these players, No quit in this team. Only quit is by some "Fans"! The opinion of yours that this game was not winnable doesn't matter, what the team and coaches thought did matter. Thinking that a kick would come into play, down by 4 in the closing moments of a game, speaks volumes about your coaching abilities. Thank you for providing all the proof necessary to discount anything you write.
  2. You live in a strange world! Game was not decided until ASU Recovered the onside attempt but don't let that interfere with your delusions. The players and coaches sure weren't thinking that way. I, and the other 50 or so MG fans, believed we had a chance to see a 60 yard drive for the winning touchdown under the direction of DT until the ASU player skyed to grab the ball out of the air.
  3. Researchers are worse than politicians and overall a very strange group. Every researcher has a job because of grant monies and many of the grants are in some form or fashion related to a government entity or an entitiy that is government supported.
  4. So if the defense makes a stop on the last drive does UNT Win? Odds are yes. Not pinning the loss on the D just saying that they did not make the play during crunch time and haven't several times this year. Shouldn't have been placed in that position, as I said, but the reason you build a solid defense is to make up for mistakes in other phases. All three phases had breakdowns against Army and that is why we lost. No one gets off easy and that includes the defense. They failed when it mattered just like special teams and the offense. Every coach I know goes into a game thinking that if they can win two of the three phases they will have a good chance of pulling out a victory. Why do you think the defense gets a pass, they are just as much at fault as anyone else. Can this change? I believe it can and with the personnel already in place ( including D-LO). Not asking for anyone to be fired or let go but we have tons of room for improvment in every aspect of a game. I'm a UNT supported, not a Dodge, D-LO, Gandy, Leftwich... supporter a UNT SUPPORTER! Every coach and every player on this team has room to get better and I believe they will if given another season.
  5. Defense gave up a game winning drive, again. D looked good until crunch time then couldn't make the necessary stop and instead gives up a BIG play. Same song, different verse. Yes I know, if the offense would have played ball control, and not turned the ball over, the D wouldn't have been required to make stand. That is why Defenses win championships!
  6. The SMU Transfer Julian Herron is supposed to be a beast when it comes to blocking kicks, inside or outside. Another positive for the team next year.
  7. AMEN Brother! Next Year this train takes off! Mark it down!
  8. FYI - Seroka, Head S/C coach, handles the kickers/snappers every day during practice until it is time for team drills then Gandy takes over. This has been the case for the entire Summer/Fall. This staff has many times called for the short K/O and utilize directional kicking most of the time. From what I saw it appeared that the short kick was on purpose, just check out the height of the kick which had much more hang time than our normal kicks and it did not appear that Jeremy mishit the ball. Agree that the problems are not with trajectory but with the protection for the most part. The kick was NOT blocked at the line of scrimmage, the player that blocked it was behind our offensive line.
  9. Every blocked, kick or punt, has been due to a missed blocking assignment or two. Trajectory doesn't matter if there is no time for the ball to get up in the air. There was a new addition to the Punt Team Saturday as a result of the blocked punt from the week before, notice any improvement this past Saturday? For those that don't pay attention, we lost Deep Snapper Christian Davidson for the season on the 2nd punt last week and our next punt was blocked. Troy Kokjohn has taken over and he performed well in the Army game.
  10. TD HAS NOT LOST THIS TEAM! I made sure and tracked down RV and Dr. B after the game just to let them know personally that there is still tons of support for the direction of this program. Is anyone happy with the record, no but strides are being made in every other aspect of the program.
  11. Get there 2 hours early and line up for the Mean Green March though the Mean Green Village! Nothing would pump up the players more than to see a huge crowd waiting for them as the get off the bus for their walk to the locker room. Show the players you are behind them, show up and be loud! Everyone!
  12. You took the words right out of my mouth! I could not agree any more with your thoughts! Thank You! How 'bout you negative nelleys get up off your lazy duffs this Saturday and line up to show your support of the PLAYERS during the march through the village (2 hours before gametime just in case you didn't know). Even if you have a personal grudge against the coaches, you could at least let these young men and future North Texas Alumni know that you support them and wish them the best!
  13. Why is not having assistant coaches talking with the media "interesting"? I don't find it interesting at all. How many assistant coaches do you see talking to the media in College or NFL ball. I'll answer my own question, once in a Blue moon. Normally the Head Coach and Team Leaders\Stars are the ones that do the talking for their respective teams. GMG
  14. Sure, because our running gaem sucks so bad, not. The one aspect of this years team that is stellar and you harp about moving a coach.
  15. Sorry but Running Back is the one position that is almost entirely about individual skill with a little help from the scheme. An excellent Offensive line helps too. Great running backs are great, a coach does not make a great running back, Never has and never will. If you want to rate Gandy, focus on Special Teams and Recruiting where I think he has proven himself to be valuable.
  16. Disagree, My girlfriend is a little fat.
  17. Pot meet Kettle.
  18. UNT uses Kickoff Coverage/formation of a certain NFL Team.
  19. I had never noticed this guy previously and wish I still could say that. Disgrace is what comes immediately to my mind and that might be mild.
  20. Did the guy have like a Gotee starter kit going on? Several of the players wanted to have a 'talk' with that douche.
  21. I think those "recruits" are Kevin Durant, Jeff Green, Russell Westbrook and James Harden of the OKC Thunder but if T-Boone can get them legally enrolled, I'd love to see them on the court @ Gallagher-Iba Arena!
  22. All DI team have an NCAA Liason administrator and this falls under his job title. I can't think of UNT's guy right off the top of my head. He is the one that should be aware of all things NCAA and what is required for correspondence between the school and the NCAA not to mention what can and can't be done. He is also the education officer for the staff and team concerning all NCAA rules and regulations. Not the coach, AD, Water Boy, or Secretary just one guy, for UNT at least, probably a squad of folks at the BCS schools so they know exactly how to tightrope down the rules and apologize for crossing over and kissing NCAA biggies butts to keep from getting hit with the dread write-up.
  23. Never said there weren't coaching mistakes made just don't agree that the coaches are in over their head and this was demonstrated by coming out in the 2nd half and being productive on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. You can second guess the play calls but I've seen dives and draws hit for huge gains in situations like Saturday, maybe something was seen that they thought was open for a play of this type. It's easy to diss on a failed play from your seat but that's football, this is not baseball where you play percentages and let the chips fall especially when you are trying to mount a comeback of the type UNT needed. If that draw, dive, or play action would have worked where do you think the MO level had gone. I'll answer my own question, Sky High and could have pushed us over the top for a UNT Win. Sadly that was not the case.
  24. [sarcasm Tag]...what he said, I mean come on the Coaches should have shown the ability to adapt...[/sarcasm Tag] Oh Wait, they did!! [sarcasm Tag]Never Mind, just forget about the 2nd half of the MTSU game and everything fits the grinch! [/sarcasm Tag]
