  1. You are correct. He was the PK until the failed XP which was immediately followed by the start of the Olen era! Deans did a decent job handling the Punting duties after losing atterberry in the FIU game.
  2. Please check your PM.
  3. I nominate Wet Willie's in South Beach. Right on Oceans Drive. They have a Balcony that overlooks Oceans Drive, Beach, and those that like to hang out on the Beach(wink, wink, nudge, nudge, know what I mean?). GOOD DRINKS and EXCELLENT SCENERY!
  4. I seem to remember that the AC Veranda will be the Letterman's Club pre-game gathering place.
  5. The team was under the impression that the workout today was just going to be a light workout. Surprise!! A few quotes from players after this morning "Light" workout. "That was freakin BRUTAL!" You really had to see the kids face when he said this! "I have a completely new respect for those guys after going through one of their workouts and we didn't even complete it!" "I've never seen so many people tossing their cookies at one time" The Marines were all active duty but the vast majority were volunteers on their off day. Sounds like they were based out of Arlington, not sure about that information.
  6. They have pics of both Scoreboads posted!!! MeanGreenSports JumboTron ...and were kicking the crap out of the shorthorns!!
  7. DC dismissal was due to poor personal choices after multiple chances, not grades. First Summer semester ends next week. Incoming Freshman will ALL, to my knowledge, be attending the next summer session. I believe this will allow them to start working out as part of the summer program and get almost a month of conditioning under their belt before two-a-days start.
  8. They've sold over 500 Club Seats according to what I've heard and I believe the suites hold 20 each. Still figure 700+ would be about right.
  9. Don't forget the other 700+ in the Club and Suites.
  10. There is an Arkansas Lineman Transfer, not sure which side of the ball, that showed up for summer workouts yesterday. Working on a name and position, Good sized guy.
  11. Until I was 13 years old, I thought my name was Shut Up.

  12. There was a quick, 30 second, video from the Dallas Event shown last night on Channel 5 as part of the SportsCast. I was surprised and by the time I knew it was from the Caravan it was over and I'm not even sure what was said during the broadcast. Anyway, at least there was some local news coverage.
  13. First Class experience all the way!! One change from my original understanding is that the North Lot will not have assigned parking as originally planned. This was changed in order to get TXDOT approval for direct access off the service road into the North Lot and TXDOT believes assigned parking would cause backups onto the service road. So for the North Lot, "the early bird gets the SOW".
  14. Agree except, I'd say RB's drafted after the 3rd round have a better chance going UFA route. I don't think LD will be drafted, just doesn't have the cookie cutter measurements the NFL focuses on today, but will go UFA route and will have a solid chance to play at the next level. Lance reminds me of DeDe Dorsey (an unknown to you all) in all aspects, he was an 2-Time NAIA All American. Their size, runnings style, and speed are almost identical. DeDe went the UFA route and had a much better chance, IMO, of earning a spot in the NFL than many 2006 draft choices because of it. The NFL is just too hung up on measurements for players outside the big 6.
  15. Blake took a pretty good knock to the noggin during the last scrimmage before the spring game and was held out as a precaution.
  16. Minor Right Ankle Sprain. No Worries.
  17. 55 Mean Green Priority Points and I'm a T-Shirt Fan!

  18. And that was running into a pretty stiff wind.
  19. 90% sure Deans has not been given a scholarship, so far.
  20. Against NCAA Rules.
  21. Proud to be a UNT T-Shirt Fan!

  22. But it seems to me we had a better chance at scoring a touchdown than a FG, especially since it would have been blocked, as you saw in your cracked crystal ball. 30-26 is what I remember with a CHANCE to pull out a victory. Using your convoluted reasoning, I guess when any team gets down they should just walk off the field and head to the house. Do you even watch football? Texas was getting spanked by OSU a couple years back only to come back and win, that's only one example of something that plays out every year in college athletics. People remember UT climbed out of a huge hole to win the game but in your mind the coach should have been fired on the spot and the players should have been shipped out of town on a rail. Last I heard there are at least 4 quarters to every football contest and the one with the most points after the final whistle is the winner. If you quit when you are down then that will never happen. Concerning my coaching abilities, I'm not the one beating my chest telling everyone about how I know more than those being paid to coach, players that play, and fans that believe. I know every coach in college knows more than all but maybe 1% of the armchair coaches, and you are not in that 1%, but you seem to think you are the god of coaching. If that is the case, why don't you go out and make a living coaching College football but just so you know, coaches make real time decisions and don't get to wait until after the play to make their call. Get out of you LazyBoy, put your controller down, and quit thinking that being able to play Madden on the novice level makes you into some kind of coaching genius. I watch the games and know eventually this team will put it together either with you or without you, you have no bearing on that. It is not on your timeline but it will happen. GMG
  23. I know a personel changes were made on the Punt team which seemed to make a difference against Army and ASU but not sure why the same thing didn't happen on PAT and FG.
  24. Working on blocking schemes will take care of the vast majority of problems with our kicking game.
