NT80---Thanks for setting this poster straight. "Alumni apathy"? Give me a break. over the christmas holiday if it weren't for the Alumni the pit would have been empty. Look at the football games. There always seems to be more alumns than students.---You are right NT80!! Where are the students. With 31,000 + students THE PIT AND FOUTS SHOULD BE FILLED FOR EVERY GAME.

Does anyone know how many tickets will be allotted to UNT for the UT game, and when they will go on sale? Is there a limited number of tickets per person? I will probally need about 8. Thanks

That is true. However, they did seem to come at the most inopportune times. For example, I believe it was Johnny Quinn returning a punt for a TD that was called back due to one of those unsportsman like penalties. IMHO--A team without discipline is really not a team at all.

I don't know if there is one, if not there should be. Is there a "BUILD A NEW FOOTBALL STADIUM TRUST FUND"? It would be easy enough to set up. Perhaps---Harry could administer the "fund". I know. I know. It would take forever. No one would contribute. Too much apathy. Etc. Etc. Etc. Here's my thinking. If it appears that alumni are involved, care, put their money where their mouth is, so to speak. Then maybe, just maybe it would be easier for RV to lure that big donor. The "trust fund" could establish a period of time say 5 or 10 years and if a certain benchmark was not reached then the funds would revert to the athletic department. What do you say Harry? Could we set one up? Publish it for potential donor's to read before contributing. Provide incentives? I know it's not much but I could contribute $500.00 this year and maybe more next year.

Great game!!! Drove up from Dallas with lots of traffic it took about 55 minutes. It was well worth it. I agree with ADLER. Something has to be done with resect to promotions---2,012 fans is (even though the pit was rocking) is just not acceptable for a D1 program. Dollar hot dogs for fans----free hot dogs for students. Discount tickets for Mean Green Club members. Anything is worth a try--We need (loud) people in those empty seats. Go Mean Green

Whether or not we have a chance is not what matters. What is, is the attitude it takes to be a winner. If you approach any game with "We don't have a chance" then you will enter that game with a self fulfilling prophecy. If you believe you don't have a chance then you will not try. You are a defeatist. That is simply not good attitude. I would hope that any coach would attempt to instill the proper attitude in his players and devise a game plan that fortifies the will to win.

Great post. I don't think that's too much to ask for. It is what should be expected by all. The fans deserve it, the University deserves it, and most of all the PLAYERS deserve it.

I would hope that DD wouldn't be so foolish, IMHO we have some pretty good players at the skill positions (even QB) What was obvious to me this season was we had no OL or DL. I hope that is where the recruiters are focusing. I hope that is not too much to expect.

Maybe not. I think Mack Brown likes DD. The second or third string players should be in by the start of the second half.

I hope you are right and we pound SMU. Altough I do dislike their politic's, I don't really hate them. BTW I have a friend who is a TT Alum. They have a really strong fan support base, one I wish UNT would (one day) emulate.

I thought the same thing about Phillips. Can you extrapolate regarding Robert Payne. Would he be able to open holes for Jamario. Any input is welcome.

After golf I may head to the mens Bball game. It's got to be a spur of the moment thing---If I give my wife too long to think about it we would never go.

Yes I was, but I wish I wasn't

I'm hopeful that we have a more balanced offense next year. A more exciting offense, more formations, more pass plays, maybe more than 1 slant pass per game, maybe a full back leading the run through the line. Who knows? Until next year I will remain hopeful.
