  1. Oh man, now I feel bad. I thought when you got to be my age you could never be called "newbie". I gotta get those post counts up. I guess I could sacrifice quality for quantity. Anyway, this is one more for me!!!!!!!
  2. What were some of the other questions asked of Coach Dodge? Thanks
  3. DITTO!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Since we don't have "stealth recruiting" anymore, we might as well have "stealth guest speakers"
  5. Are you talking about season tickets?
  6. Plumm---Just curious was that song from the movie "Shapes of things to come" If so I got it. GO MEAN GREEN
  7. Haven't heard anything recently--hope it's moving forward.
  8. My niece Leslie Humpfries plays Bball for Mckinney High. She has been a starter on varsity since her freshman year. I believe she is #3 in the State for 3 pointers. She has a meeting with recruiters from Hardin Simmons after the season. She has also received interest from A&M and OK St. The funny thing is she really wants to go to UNT. She even filled out the on-line athletics application with a brief resume. For the past 3 years she has had numerous write ups in local papers. No one from UNT has contacted her. Perhaps Coach Slinker has all the players she needs or is just too lazy to drive to Mckinney. I just don't get it. You can google----Leslie Humpfries McKinney Basketball---- to see what I mean
  9. NT Nathan Tune could be the man we are looking for next year---I case we don't land a great QB recruit. NT, to me, without ever seeing him play, looks like a QB.
  10. Thanks, Forest. Excellent post!!! It is, as you say, going to take time. If we all pull together the time frame will be shortened. GO MEAN GREEN
  11. I believe that RV has commissioned a rather well known firm that specializes in fund raising. It was posted several months ago. At that time, I googled them and it was confirmed that UNT had engaged their services in order to pursue a capital campaign. Naturally, I could only assume that it was related to a new football stadium. Sorry, I don't remember the firms name. I do recall that the firm was very good at what it does. Maybe someone can find that post. GO MEAN GREEN
  12. Great post!!! It seems, as though, logic always takes a back seat to money.
  13. Not funny either!! Unless of course you have the mentality of a 15 year old.
  14. I really don't understand why UNT Dallas would have any moniker other than the MEAN GREEN or the EAGLES. If and when they want to make a clean break from their parent University is when, at that time, they should choose their own identity. UNT Dallas has, what, 683 students and the powers that be feel a desire, at this time, to have their own unique identity' Give me a break. If the new proposed Law school becomes a reality, perhaps their school colors could be purple and yellow and their mascot could be the bald eagle.
  15. Because, that is what we do!! GMG Go TD
  16. I thought you were taking a break, a much needed one I'm sure. Anyway I'm in!!!!!!!! Thanks Harry. Let me know if I can do anything for for sometime!
  17. Still not in yet. I'm in no hurry so enjoy the break. Please let me in when you return. Thanks, Bill
  18. Not in yet!! Looking forward to access. Thanks
  19. It was obvious, and also very funny!
  20. If meeting the criteria means, MGC Member, season tickets (4), Alumni, Fan, etc. sign me up. Please!
  21. I think I would expect the same success from any new coach. It's why I'm a fan of the MEAN GREEN.
  22. Now, If Cobbs can get some TV time, pub for UNT and some lovin from my wife.
  23. Dang. I've been waiting all year to see Adrian make a play and I missed it. crap
  24. I really can't believe the longevity of this thread. With all of the multiple variations of designs for helmets and ideas for uniforms, it seems to me that the majority of the posts come from fashion designers. Give it up. Let the powers that be decide. Please end this thread now.
