  1. Stunning game
  2. Something like this would be tied up in litigation for years.
  3. It was my first choice b/c they had a first-rate RTVF program and I always liked Denton. But I recognize that I'm in the minority.
  4. All of these things. I've been following NT sports for over 40 years and we've never had a lot of people consistently show up for games -- football or basketball. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, North Texas has never had a tradition of "school spirit." So, it's not surprising that alumni, let alone the general public in the DFW area don't bother to make it to the games. Maybe that will change at some point if we are consistently winning championships/bowls and beating ranked teams. But, realistically, I don't know how it does. They've been fun to watch the last couple of games. Even the defense.
  5. So would this mean just straight out pay and no scholarships?
  6. May be true but I’m enjoying this. And I love how the defense has improved the last couple games. They were fun as hell to watch last night.
  7. With all of this becoming a huge wild west mess, wondering how long it will be before Congress steps in?
  8. Met him once in Las Colinas. Very friendly guy.
  9. Didn't you get the memo? It's for the enjoyment of us middle-aged men.
  10. Ah, you nailed me😄
  11. Oh please. They’re student athletes. Or at least they used to be. And they get a free education that costs mere mortals as much as $200k or more.
  12. I’m just going to hang out in the BB forum for a while
  13. He's still in a "quarterback competition," so...
  14. Not a prediction, but some pretty accurate takes from the SFA board: UNT one weakness though is their defense...North Texas basically just out scores you. Morris has quickly turned UNT Football into one of the top offensives in the nation, having a 3,000 yard passing QB, a 1,000 yard receiver, while averaging almost 500 yards in total offense a game (6th in the nation) #12 in passing offense (305 yards) and #21 in rushing (191.2 yards) scoring 35 points a game in 2023. This season the Mean Green have not skipped a beat, kicking things off in Mobile, Alabama scoring 52 points against South Alabama, with 550 total yards of offense. ...I have no clue how we will look against an opponent who can defend themselves. https://sfasawmill.com/forums/2/topics/2509
