  1. Delete this thread? Grow up people. This team has a legitimate chance to win out. Every single win we get is going to increase the speculation that Coach Littrell is leaving. Without this one thread there would be twenty threads on the first page. This is the life of a winning G5. Enjoy it for what it is. Let us hope Coach Littrell is our Petersen.
  2. But they are logging in to find out if they should hire our coach or not?
  3. Never give up on your dreams...
  4. Here is the problem with his argument. Either football is important enough to do as well as possible or it is not. If you happen to think it is not that important, and do not want to pay higher prices for it, that seems like a valid logical conclusion. If you think it is so important that we not only need to raise prices, but increase the student fees, that also seems like a valid logical conclusion. But constantly berating efforts by the department, coaches, administrators, etc. because they are #olddenton, or small time, and demanding the student fee be raised without a vote of the students, and then turning around and saying the season ticket holders should not be asked to pay more, that doesn't make any sense. It really is #OldDenton. Berating the current product for not being good enough for your money, not being willing to help pay to for improvements yourself, wanting costs passed on to someone else.

  6. There hasn't been that many flat tops in one place since the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
  7. Arguing with you is hopeless. You admit you pay almost nothing at all to help the program. You consciously make a decision to pay less than you could. You also admit that you want a the fees to be raised for the students without even asking them. Yet, somehow you think that both those admissions help your argument. In fact, what exactly is your argument? Ben wants nice things but wants other people pay for them? If that is your argument we get it, just don't expect us to respect the argument.
  8. It's not forced on you. Sit somewhere else. It would be forced on students unless they wanted to transfer to another school. I am for the student fee being raised, and though I am not happy about it, I understand why the program needs to raise money to compete.
  9. So asking a customer who is interested in the product and in convinced the product should be high grade is a money grab. But forcing the students, many of who aren't interested in athletics at all, to pay a higher fee is not a money grab?
  10. You are receiving down votes because you are the guy who constantly harps on "not settling" and "#oldenton", and is tired of "excuses" for everything that isn't first class and P5 worthy. However, as soon as someone asks you to help pay for those things, suddenly you have plenty of excuses of why it is not fair to ask you to pay for it. That is the most #olddenton thing ever. It is the dictionary definition of #OldDenton.
  11. B+ for me. Love this on the offensive side, worrid about the defensive side. He gets a strong staff on that side of the ball and it becomes an Easy A. I bet them East Texas skill position players can't wait to start practice.
  12. If you are really this upset about being called a jack wagon, maybe you shouldn't have acted like a jack wagon? Saying "just having some fun" does not absolve you of the jack wagon behavior.
  13. Someone contact the General Counsel, I think that could be considered vandalism and a grounds for termination.
  14. Dickey was fired and then the regents over turned the decision. Why do you think Dickey and RV never got along after that?
  15. But if Riley decided not to transfer, and therefore quit quitting, wouldn't he still be a quitter by quitting to quit?
  16. Tell him to stay away from the sizzurp.
  17. I doubt he would if he had the chance to go anywhere else, which he should.
  18. Leavitt wanted the job, but Rawlins was not willing to take him on with the lawsuit going on. MizzouTiger should probably be placed on suicide watch.
  19. Canales has already been informed he will not be the next coach, anyone who mentions him as a candidate is out of the loop.
  20. I would prefer Fran over McCarney. I would take Canales over McCarney. Throwing Canales under the bus for a big name Texas candidate like Leach or Fran is one thing, doing it for a guy who had a losing record at Iowa State and hasn't recruited heavily in Texas is another.
  21. Funny, since he was hired over RV's objections. I think it's very good that Lane Rawlins is becoming heavily involved in the process.
  22. I said I would be back when Dodge was gone. Like I already said, I like what Canales is doing. I would keep him over many of the coaches whose name have been passed around. But not over Leavitt, he went there, did that, got the t-shirt. I hope some of you realize that not only is there a conference shuffle coming up, but quite possibly a classification shuffle as well. If we do poorly, at this critical time, with this critical hire, we could very well end up not being in the top classification anymore. Chew on that, and get back to me if we should pass up on a guy who has succesfully built a program from the ground up.
