The Andrew Smith death was a killer for this program. However, what else killed the program? 1. Screwing up Jamario. Who told the guy to start adding bulk after his freshman season? 2. Screwing up the Cobbs-Jamario backfield. He couldn't really get both on the field at the same time? 3. The inability to name a starting QB, EVER! Even when Hall was here, argubly one of the best QBs to ever don the Green and White, the guy had a hard time making up his mind on a starter.

WOW! The guy hasn't been up to the task over the last several years, but come on! He was responsible for FOUR SBC championships. He took the program to heights it has never been before. Let's at least look at the accomplishments along with the disappointments.

The WORST thing NT could do is hire a high school coach. Just because a guy can give a speech doesn't mean you throw a D1 job at him. If that's the case, let's hire Tony Robbins.

Dodge would be a disaster. Dodge has the best of the high school world right now. Great facilities, a rich student body, etc. He wouldn't have anything close to that from a competitive stand point at NT.

Now we know what the black uni thing was all about. The FBI found Bin Laden residing in Dickey's guest room. Now we know Dickey is EVIL!!!!! Come on guys. Give the uniform thing a break. ANY CHANGE in this evolution of the NT uniform is a good thing. They have looked high schoolish for a while now. WHO CARES??????

Hmmmmm, interesting ploy. This guy was paid a salary for 9 years. The first two were well enough to get him fired. He should have put a stop to it, but didn't. Does anybody know if his Coke guy on the sidelines has a job for next year? I would like him to carry my Dr. Pepper around for me.

I remember back in the 70's NT game out in all APPLE GREEN! Beyond that, this has to be the worst look ever. NT's uniform is confused.

My couple of cents: 1. Dickey deserved to be fired. Simply could not compete outside of the Sunbelt. 2. If he was doing a "great" job, he would have been hired away a long time ago. 3. Mattress Mac, you are a joke. The athletic department should have said, "ok, see you dude." 4. The script looked much better than what they have now. The eagle before that looked great. I wish the flying eagle could have returned.

NT went the HS ranks before. It didn't work out. Coaching HS football is ALOT different from the coaching ranks. You just don't run out and grap a HS coach. It won't work. REPEAT AFTER ME, IT WON'T WORK!

Unenthused team. Poor QB play. Bad offensive concept. Jamario with only 11(?) carries in 3 quarters. Just can't watch it. Time for a change.
