  1. Looking forward to the development of a strong rich rivalry. Thank you and good luck the rest of the season! GMG
  2. In Mac's defense he was trying to run out the clock so no harm, just hold onto that ball for your life and don't F it up! GMG
  3. Everytime I see a late unecessary run I think of that UNLV Baylor game many many years ago. Old school Mean Green will remember that game. It might have been the year the Rebels beat us. I believe it was UNLV attempting to run up the score and it backfired ugleeeeee on them. GMG
  4. it was incredible! Celebrating in LA!
  5. I might have gone ballistic had I not started watching at 20 - 13. WOW! That is all I can say! I am Mean Green Proud tonight!!!!! GMG
  6. I like Aggie Nation in that game! Hopefully they will know we are in CUSA next year and the year after...with our track record of NTSU (Which I am proud of by the way) I am not that confident! GMG
  7. Me plus three as well! Gonna crash some tailgates, just warning ya in advance:) GMG
  8. Just read the daily rag out here previewing this game and they talked about how 5 of the 8 meetings between the Owls and Mean Green have been decided by less than a touchdown. Make that now 6 of 9 meetings and some of our battles were epic over the years. GMG
  9. Stadium was nice but the aluminum reminds me of a dressed up Fouts. The structure was nice though and they have great area to tailgate just outside - ala LSU. However, the fanbase did not seem energized for the game. Apogee is so much nicer and looks more professional in many ways. Our video screen is bigger and the sound we can create inside Apogee is better too. Their stadium looked a lot like Brighthouse at UCF. Apogee Rocks!!!!! GMG
  10. 1. Six cheerleaders instead of three 2. Leaving FAU with a W - barely got to know their new stadium in the Belt but glad I experienced it GMG
  11. The coaches were trying to mix it up but FAU had some decent speed. They got to everything pretty quickly but I still think some of it was because of their speed. We were playing a Florida school which has some athletes. The team as a whole is not great but there were some individual players on that squad and they made us work for this W. I guess I was just thrilled to see the W because this team needed it bad. We really need both of these because our Belt slate is a beast. WKU, Middle and Monroe all on the road is going to be very challenging. I'll take 2-3 and we have revenge on the horizon. GMG
  12. We were very fortunate that FAU kept extending our drives in the final quarter because that chewed a serious 3 - 4 minutes off the clock. Thank goodness we still got the 3 too. GMG
  13. I was able to see the Mean Green buses arrive this afternoon and the guys looked focused exiting the bus. I also like the fact that they wear dress shirts and ties - very sharp and professional. After the game the guys went to leave the feel and were throwing up the Talon sign to our section. We waved them over and sure enough they turned and made a b line for our section. The faithful hit the front row and gave them high fives as they all marched in front of the gathered fans and thanked us for coming. The team looked exhausted and it was steamy. There were some smiles but on the whole a controlled pride and steady satisfaction. I shouted "now onto H-town!" Next week is going to be outstanding and FUN! I want to see a monster Mean Green Nation turnout down there because I found a few diehards in Boca Raton, but there should be no shortage of tailgates to crash next week. The FAU football stadium is nice and they have a nice in game program. However, the tailgating scene was weak. It was very spread out and there just didn't seem to be much energy around it. It also started kind of late or later than our Hill gets going. I think the poor start had that effect too. I still like our stadium so much more. The aluminum seating just didn't look as traditional. I think I also have aluminum nightmares staring at those empty bleachers in Fouts for all those years! All in all it was great to see the Mean Green win again. Coach even came by and did the high fives with the fans in the stands - awesome! GMG
  14. Tell him you have to have fans to have a cult. Bring it H-Town Mean Green Nation!!!!! GMG
  15. West Virginia is beautiful country and I am looking forward to our visits up there against Marshall. I am starting to like to watch WVU as much as I enjoy turning in to watch Oregon. I was at the game tonight and did not see any such animal. I saw a defense that was not going to let us lose. It was awesome! GMG
  16. Still got to get a W. I don't know what the heck to expect from this team. Are they pissed? Are they bummed? Heck I don't know what I feel. I should be pumped about flying into Miami after three weeks overseas to see my team but I am just really hoping to see a fierce effort like I saw at LSU. It is crazy to feel so dejected before the end of September. Couple that with three weeks of no college football while overseas and I am one lost backer. Maybe the good ole American soil and seeing the apple green helmet will get me jazzed about football again - restart please! GMG
  17. Get the win and party on south beach
  18. I hope to see a focused pisted off team in So Fla next week. I want to see the road team we have grown accustomed to see but this time with a W! GMG
  19. Watching on Mean Green Premium from Macau, China at 5:00AM. Flying Hong Kong to Miami next weekend to quench my Mean Green thirst in person. Meanwhile beat down Troy and see you in South Florida at 2-2! GMG
  20. I love the Best Western I believe it is right near the Texas Roadhouse across from Golden Triangle mall. The rooms are large and breakfast is included. It was a new and very clean hotel. GMG
  21. Major statement opportunity coming on October 16th. 1. We have a chance to be 500 nearing the end of September! 2. If we wake up 500 next Sunday then we have a chance to end September 3 victories away from a bowl game! 3. If we finish September strong we can turn our full attention to getting revenge against that other big urban team. Let's go beat the heck out of Troy! GMG
  22. Indeed I find it interesting that when the opposing coach gets interviewed they always say we didn't do this we didn't that. Snyder said, "We didn't treat this game we needed to from an intensity point of view." Real college football fans know that UNT stood up and punched both top 15 programs in the face and made some plays. Now the next frew games are truly going to be a test because our team cannot lose any intensity. I don't think they will and I don't think Coach will. We need to beat the heck out of Troy for the first time in what feels like forever! Everybody needs to be fired about beating the Trojans in our closing SBC season. I must say that it was an incredible treat that here in Hong Kong I did not get one college football game on any channel (darn soccer), except the North Texas Kansas State game. The only thing sweeter would be to have witnessed the upset in real time from 8,126 miles away. GMG
  23. I heard Coop praising Coach and stated that we were doing it the right way up in Denton. He is a big fan of how Coach is building it and believes were are going to win a lot of games in the Sun Belt this year. I just want to tailgate like now and win a bowl game this year! GMG
  24. It is still America as far as I can see. Non-issue in my opinion.
