I see Runner was terrorizing us almost a year ago at this time. Just about EVERYONE had us beating UTSA and most beating Tulane. A lot of us myself included had us losing to La Tech, but one guy did point out their youth and new coaching transition. I hope that dude didn't throw himself into the Ecuadorian volcano after our loss to UTSA. GO MEAN GREEN!!!!!

Saw it all year - that look of pure excitement and confidence from the opposing team when they go up 7, 10, 13 or 14. It's almost as if the opponent gets a false sense of security, while Mean Greeners know something cool is about to brew. That is what made my trip to Tulane and the UTSA game so frustrating - the takeover never happened. And how cool is it, that point in the game when the opponent is wilting and you know sending your O and your D onto the field can be equally satisfying and energizing. I turned to my friends who are UH and USC fans and said, "Third quarter halfway gone and we have a 7 point lead...I like where this is heading." You would never make that statement watching a Cowboy game. If watching an Aggie game you had better be down by three scores when making that statement. Love our Mean Green! Love this Team! Loved this season!!!!!

I like the idea of getting a conference foe currently not rolling through town at Jerryworld or the Cotton Bowl. Perhaps we could get an ACC squad like FSU, Clemson or Miami to battle with during the State Fair. I believe Jerry brings in the SEC, Big 10 and Pac 12 regularly. You get a Louisville in Dallas and perhaps you carve out a relationship with a conference who wants a nitch in this market. I will say that we MUST pull the shackles off ourselves in regard to our marketing. We must market to all of Dallas with billboards about the upcoming season. Throw up some great boards congratulating your Heart of Dallas Bowl Champions - North Texas Mean Green. The fences are in our brain. Denton is where Apogee is, but our market is North Texas - Dallas, Fort Worth, Allen, Southlake, the Colony, Oak Cliff, Frisco...Those new faces we saw yesterday come from all of these places and beyond! I have followed the Rebels for years and listened to Bobby Hauck tonight at the pep rally, he has NEVER sounded so relaxed. A. He gets to keep his job B. He is in New Years Day bowl C. He respects the heck out of UNT and Coach Mac I am sure his team will model his mood which is relaxed and ready to win a game nobody thinks they should be in, especially many UNT fans. Glad we have an opportunity to win this bowl game, but there will be more pressure on GREEN for sure and we had better bring it. This is going to be more competitive than I thought. GO MEAN GREEN!!!!!

I am on their mailing list being a former season ticket holder and get updated weekly about happenings at UNLV. When this little gem arrived I sent it right to the ticket office for future thoughts. An email that talks to me always keep this short attention fan happy. GMG

Loving the Always Bet on Green idea. What about a the Johnny Football fingers to the sky with bills that read North Texas and a tagline, "The Real Mean Green." GMG

This is one of the most lifeless bowls ever. For this season I put the potato bowl and poinsettia bowl as two of the tougher watches. It's college football so I love it but energy not spewing through the tv. GMG

My motto is go when we are in. Those poor mean green souls in 48 never knew they would have to wait 52 years for another. This will be my 5th Go Mean Green!!!!!

Of the six in my group will be 4 first timers.

Dude is working overtime and just learned that the Tower Club will be open seating, so if you want to sit with your party come as one. GMG

Though I was in Apogee or following the Mean Green on the road the whole season, I had one eye glancing out west to my old home looking to see how UNLV did. After that opening stretch of games I thought Bobby was done and that saddened me because he is a great guy and solid coach. Then they started wining these nail biters and getting the win in Reno to bring the cannon home to LV was awesome! I loved hearing how they went up there and stole that game from the mighty Wolfpack who have owned them as of late. UNLV vs Reno games and UNLV vs Hawaii games were two of the most intense rivalry games I have seen. The Reno game was especially messy because they loved to dance on the UNLV logo at midfield. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be watching Bobby Hauck and the Rebels rolling into Dallas to play my Mean Green. I am going to have hold back my tomahawk R-E-B-E-L chop during the game which is almost reflexive when I hear it coming from their band. And the Rebel Girls are worth the standing ovation they will get when they finish dancing. They are very Mavs Dancer like with costume changes and those Las Vegas Surrender, Wet Republic, you name any dayclub pool in the city kind of moves. GMG

With all their new gear garnered on 12.25. The best music I heard after another UNT gift package opening was, "Now I definitely have to go to the game next week!" GMG

Great pub but isn't it funny how they can turn a positive energy filling speech/Q&A session by Mac into a Debbie downer by talking about our apathetic alum, apathetic Denton and inability to sell out Apogee. Facts are facts and WE must change that. It just seemed weird after Coaches infectious passionate session. This spring we must start the Hit 32 Campaign, preferably the SMU game. GMG

I am doing both. Happy Hour starts early and ticket broadcast is later. Then back to downtown to revel with other Mean Greeners on Monday night. This is when it is fantastic living by SMU. GMG

We have six in our group and am dangerously close to signing up 8 more. I think the walk up and last minute buy by out of towners and curious folks is going to be good. I was thinking 32,000 but we may get 40,000. GMG

Us fans really need to represent at the Pep Rally at Fair Park and at Babbs Brothers. Throw in Kung Fu Saloon and Owners Box too. Please get out to these events and show the power of the Mean Green Nation. There will also be good shots of the pep rally during the HOD Bowl and it would be great to see a lot of GREEN supporting. I was shocked what little sliver of space Rally House gave us over by the Galleria. They did have shirts but jeez the size of TCU, Tech, Baylor, OU, Aggie and Horn was obscene. Our little sliver of space was in the center back. Hey I got my shirts but we need to earn a larger space. We need to make the Mean Green section expand by showing up loud and proud. GMG

The problem with June is that he has ZERO personality and a program like SMU who needs connection with the general public needs a salesperson coach. You are going to get wins but not random fans with Jones. I was in Hawaii when he was there and he had the same stone face but actually connected a bit more with the community, not much more but more. He is a bad energy profile for that program. Oh well. GMG

That was the absolute best onside kick I've ever seen. I am rooting for Ohio and have no emotional connection with ECU in any way. GMG

Props for whoever selected this location for next week's opening happy hour gathering. That place is a blast. I did the Sunday Funday crawl yesterday from Craft and Growler to Katy Trail Ice House to Kung Fu Saloon and I was pleasantly surprised. The bar scene is hot and the beer selection was solid. TV's everywhere for Sunday Night football watching and Uptown folks socializing in force. It is going to be great to have a Mean Green takeover of that place next Sunday night! Wear your most stylish Mean Green gear and prepare to have some fun! GMG

Ummmm I worked for MGM Cosmopolitan and Tropicana for 6 years. Prying money out of a casino even for a great cause is tough. Now throw in some publicity, scantily clad cocktail servers, daytime pool advertising, the Mavs Dancers and Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and now you might just get some interest:) GMG
