Went to the incredibly frustrating game tonight and bummed but we beat FIU and upset UTEP to finish 5-7 in a rebuilding year. Disappointing yea hideous no. We will get better and crack 6 next year. We got no breaks this year with so many of our roadie teams having bang up years! UAB Rice and UTeP are All bowling. Doesn't explain Smiss but let's have fun the next 2 weeks. 2014 losing is over time to celebrate and show on Denton and San antone! GMG

So Saturday is lining up to be AMAZING! If you are traveling to El Paso tomorrow morning and haven't left no need to pack the heavy winter gear. Just watched the news and a warm front blew threw today - Tomorrow's high 70 and sunny with a low of 47. So save the heavy gear and think layering. You are not going to want to much on during the day but will need to grab the jacket and beanie when the sun goes down. Heading to the Washington State vs UTEP game now. Those were the good old days on the border. Brother went to school there and ha many fun times in the sun bowl. That was when NMSU and Utep were both good and there were over 51,000 in the sun bowl. Good times and good win by the Miners. Now they are smelling a bowl game. I think we go beat them for some reason. Pass the tequila. GMG

We have a great freaking school to recruit to. My niece went to one volleyball camp and wants to be Mean Green. She's working like heck at Lynch and in club to get noticed by the coach even more at next years camp. We are Mean Green!!!!!

You know this reminds me of old times where you had to look beyond the 3.5 hour block of the game to find the fun. The rice game was even more fun than the Houston trip. Great weather good times fun memories and nice tailgating. Getting out on the road allowance you to bond with greenies you don't see in Denton. It's not forever gonna be down. AM is not a good qb. He is a statue and stares down where he is going with the ball. The pick was only a matter of time and when he screwed up it was a disaster. Not even our best defenses ever would survive long with only 14 points a game lighting up the board. All we needed was to move the chains with a few short pass completions to get into field goal range and he couldn't do it. He looks frustrated and shows zero leadership inspiration. I agree that AM would not be able to play QB many if any other places in the country at this level. GMG

It's so frustrating because I don't see us getting better in the proverbial rebuilding year. We have 4 games left and still no qb for today or the future from the looks of it. Dark Days Denton. GMG

Believe it or not our d played better and hard. I was expecting 62 from rice and they barely got in the 40s with seconds left. You could feel the break coming after mcnulty failed to capitalize on great field position on several occasions. Again we needed anyone in there who could get some first downs. They broke but overall played a solid hard game. The problem is main one that is under center. What a waste of a year. But still green and still white and still gonna eat tacos on the border and drink a lot of margaritas on the river walk. GMG

I am done with mcnulty. I am not going to bad mouth the kid but I have seen enough. This team is a mess and from top down is broken. We had a solid crowd in h town and we all left disappointed. It never felt good 7 up like it would last. Not even trying to win by not pulling Andrew is a give up. I will never give up on this team but I am close to giving up one is regime. GMG

I agree with 90 and ssp on this one. My hope is that DW develops all of the leadership skills for a successful professional and personal life. We do need him to start this now if we are going to be a good football team. But put the shout out for a qb who has the talent and teamwork skills desired to build your program to your standards. Never compromise your values and standards. Coach was hired to build a program. I like how he sculpts boys into men. Beat Rice GMG
