I do think UH in the Big 12 makes sense too. SEC has creeped into that town and the Big 12 footprint is waning. Look at how the SEC has begun infiltrating Dallas and now with A&M it has only accelerated it. TCU is not a relevant enough brand to keep the Big 12 Metroplex domination and adding SMU isn't going to do it either. I don't see A&M coming back to the 12. I keep getting these promos for Texas' big game against Notre Dame this season. It is ONE big game. A&M already has X big games on their schedule every season: A&M vs LSU A&M vs Alabama A&M vs Auburn A&M vs Arkansas A&M vs Mississippi Heck even A&M vs Ole Miss sounds juicier than Texas vs Oklahoma State, and definitely better than Texas vs Kansas, Iowa State. Texas OU will be big again when they both get good. Texas vs TCU is interesting much to the Horns chagrin. Texas vs Baylor, Longhorn can barely take it. The last think the Burnt Orange ever envisioned was a purple frog coming into the conference and being relevant. The best rivalry in that league at this time is Baylor TCU. Yeah, A&M is not coming back to that. Sweep Florida! GO MEAN GREEN!!!!!

Amen. I am still looking for that "guest" that guards our tailgate during the game. I don't care why they are at apogee as much as just be at apogee. Smu has had this problem for years with the blvd. if they win the fans will trickle in. GMG

I drove around campus before the middle game and was stunned by all the awesome development. It's not the same ole UNT i went to decades ago. It was nice and the new dorms and housing developments were sweet. The patio bars off the square were terrific too. Denton definitely has a college town vibe going on. Love my trips up there and post beer before returning to the Mecca 35 miles south. I would like to see different organizations represented at the games. Other schools like UNLV Oregon state and BYU have student organizations giving out koozies spinning wheels for prizes giving out backpacks.... That is where we need to go next in the continued development of the basketball experience. Keep winning Mean Green!!!!!

I follow BYU hoops and they are playing some of their strongest ball at the right time. They have a stud named Haws and all they hope is to be playing solid ball come tourney time. If they can upset gonzaga in Vegas their 20 wins and that one in particular could get them in. We need to make the tourney continue playing well make a stunning run and go. Rooting for the Mean Green to take us on a wild fun ride! GMG

The guys are so used to losing and being unappreciated they simply ran off the court and didn't stay for the alma mater. It was not a show of disrespect as much as they disn't realize how much we wanted to celebrate them. Way to go guys. A Valentine's miracle! Always good to beat MTSU. Their fans in the stands were bumping their gums making noise all game long then looked devastated at the end wondering how they lost that game. I was Mean Green bliss! GMG

I think some people need to start liking our conference games more. We are arguing over the ooc and overlooking the fact that going to Huntington Hattiesburg Tennessee and in the future Virginia Charlotte and Miami is cool. I am looking forward to beating our CUSA brethren! GMG

It's crazy but 3-9 or 9-3 I am so looking forward to this season! Huntington Nashville knoxville Hattiesburg Ruston and a new orleans weekend after the southern miss game, life is good. Oh yeah and that beat down we will put on smu while outnumbering their fans in droves..:.next year is going to be a blast! GMG

I bet WKU is top 25 when they roll into Denton. Could this be our first ever win over a top 25 since I have been following the Mean Green since 1986! It would be sweet. WKU could be the CUSA boise in 2015- that good. GMG

My thoughts too about the first two months of the season. This team had better already have become bowl eligible by the end of October. I don't see us winning a game in November except maybe the finale against UTEP. If we need that win to become bowl eligible then that will be a stressful November rain. Even if we somehow are bowl eligible but limp into bowl slotting day we will stay home. So get six before the end of October and beat UTEP. GMG

All I can say is that this cannot happen again - get 2020 and 2021 done asap. Further, that Incarnate Word game does not count as an attractive opponent. That year they play in Denton better not also feature a Portland State or Nicholls State game too. If that is the case get New Mexico State in here or a Belt team like ULM or Arkie State. Look I don't care who we play I will be there, but I just cannot believe we can't ink a deal with any MWC teams with excellent name recognition: Fresno State, Boise, New Mexico (who will bring fans), Colorado State, San Diego State, UNLV. Better yet would be an Oregon State, Washington State, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Rutgers - the Big 10 must love swinging through North Texas. Minnesota played at TCU, Indiana played here. Heck get Colorado back into Big 12 country. Come on Smastrek demand better for us fans. Fix it or you need another 29,999 fans like me that will show up in Apogee or Tennessee, Iowa and West Virginia in a few short months. GMG

Great news is I can do burning man week and see the whole week through burning and all without rushing to Reno and flying to the opener all dusty. Bad news is that I see and feel 3 wins. Don't think I am going to have to leave vacation time for bowl season. It's gonna be great though going to West Virginia Knoxville and Iowa. GMG

I had not been to a game in awhile and I really liked it. Good atmosphere I like the Tvs to watch other games at halftime and have a beer. Went solo and ready to go back with others when schedule permits. Keep winning. GMG
