Logan is beautiful but gone are the days of MWC being head an shoulders above CUSA. AAC is beast this year and CUSA was strong last year. I have always liked what Utah State has been able to do against Ute and Cougar powers. I think UNT is one of the most delicious openings, seriously: 1. Your a head football coach in Texas. 2. Recruiting hotbed - just load up with Texas players and you will be decent - get above average players and you are competing for conference titles. 3. Student body of over 35K 4. Best stadium in the conference. 5. Rich history (that we don't celebrate enough). When walking into Neyland some old time Tennessee fans told us, I remember 75 or whatever the year was. Dude was there and had solid respect for what we had done in the past. All said I don't think this coach comes to Denton, but someone worth will snag this outstanding opportunity and challenge. GMG

After last year I really look forward to watching the Marshall vs WKU battle. You just know there are more fireworks to come in the second half. 1. Doughty is a stud. 2. I can't wait until our offense hums again. 3. WKU looks like the best in CUSA this year. 4. Houston looking good but can they go from unranked to a big 6 bowl game? 5. I do miss that aspect of UNT. I remember many an events diehard Greenbackers could gather and get fired up about the future - everybody fully engaged looking for a way any way to make UNT shine. Two years in a row I looked forward to pinning football schedules in local businesses on the spot. The dental office even remembered me from the year before. It was hot it was August and it was fun running around Denton touting the Greatness of the upcoming season and getting people encouraged to come see our team. Now I pretty much live overseas, can't do that anymore as easily, but sadly don't think it happens anyway. UNT needs to figure out how to get the average fan engaged and willing to spend their time (not just $) on growing the Nation. There are others like me out there just willing to jump in and help but regrettably the conductor has such an adversarial relationship with the the orchestra that it simply cannot happen in this climate anymore. The music is off cue. But to end on a high note projects shifted and unexpectedly I get to see my 3rd Mean Green game this season and share in the holiday spirit. So go get them Mean Green - It's been forever since I have seen you win. GMG

I have always liked Canales and was happy he was able to have the team fight harder at the end of the year. I was seriously expecting a 60 or 70 point loss in Knoxville and instead he led that team to compete into the fourth quarter. It was an incredibly memorable trip into new SEC country for me. He also beat the dreaded dirty birds of south Texas, so he will always hold a gold star in my book. Go get'em in the your next chapter Coach. GMG

The Vols fans were not happy with their team's play some of which was caused by our Mean Green. It was a great defensive effort by our guys and our O moved the ball but could not threaten like they needed to. Their morning papers wondered how the they could only beat us by 24 and only score 7 in the second half. Yes everyone saw the mack truck coming and the Mean Green D funneled that disrespect into a respectful showing. GMG

Oh I would love it trust me. But Tennessee in Apogee would be a stretch. TN at Jerryworld would be a different animal. They are all excited about heading to Aggieland next year. I told them to book their rooms now. LSU still more hardcore but Knoxville was an awesome college town and great game day environment. Makes me wish I had experienced Alabama one of those years. GMG

We are not the worst team in college football. We are not complete but we are not the worst. We will probably lose to middle but now I think we can beat Utep. Gmg

I am heading back from rocky top now and I don't want paycheck games eliminated. Standing watching the band march into Neyland in a perfect fall afternoon sunny and 55 was worth the experience. I was also shocked how many a 1-8 team drew to Knoxville. The Vols fans were the kindest ever encountered and admired us for following our team so passionately. Later we socialized at cool beans Knoxville with other green fans and the owner was so happy to see us. Even MTSU fans at the game were a bit unnerved at how hard we played. That brings me to the game and experience. So much fun. I have listened to this team from Asia and Australia all season long. I saw the rice loss and this game only in person. We were actually in a game for the first time in forever until the 4th quarter. Into the 4th quarter. Because one score would have made the big orange mob uneasy. Trust me the teams were trying both of them. We just didn't have the offense. I turned to my friends and said one day we will come here and compete. He said one day We will come back here and win. One of our better teams would have made that an even more enjoyable afternoon! Thank you Tennessee fans. Thank you Mean Green for making my long trip back home so much fun. gmg

Charlie needs to get out while the getting out is good. My Longhorn diehard friends have never shown a true embrace of him and with their current development I can only imagine he realizes that it is coming to an end soon. If he could get a Miami to take him he would be very smart to go with his current reputation in tact. GMG
