Toyota stadium is pretty good with wind and breezes. Because it’s built in a bowl the higher seats get the wind but as you move down toward the field you get more stable conditions. There are also no bad seats in this house. I can’t wait to watch a football win here. GMG

I think UTSA going to the AAC with us is a reason not to be upset if they win tonight. It’s hard to root for them but a strong program for our future conference is good. Let’s represent in our bowl game too. UAB UNT UTSA and FAU really need to ride momentum into the next two years and conference jump. GMG

I think Tennessee is going to get Kiffined again with Heupel. That is too tantalizing of a job to say No to despite Tennessee being a Rockytop solid job. Riley seems a little slimy the way this going down but there is no pretty way to leave a plum job with a mass following for an even more plum job with an even bigger following. Plus Miami is going to pluck Cristobol back to south Florida. Riley can shine like a rockstar in tinsel town quickly with the PAC 12 being so open. Wild wild times in college football. GMG

I think Seth was distracted many of those bowl years by thoughts of a higher gig. Seth might just realize now how great this gig really is and he’s not back yet enough to get distracted by hiring AD’s. Look for Seth to be dialed in on this bowl. He’s ready to get that other monkey off his back. Depends who we draw but I don’t discount motivation this year. This isn’t the New Mexico Bowl year setup. GMG

I think you ride this momentum into the bowl game and 2022. The continuity could be great in a year of massive coach upheaval. We’ve already beat Traylor and Lashlee will give us an opening to beat SMU. Something clicked in Seth and in the end he did it his way and got it done. He won’t want to stop now. That overtime game was horrific. I don’t ever need to see another overtime ga r again. They equated it to penalty kicks in soccer. There was no tension. I didn’t know the score until I walked into the stadium. I didn’t want to see the score until I bought a ticket to see my friends inside. So I lollygag around the house watching a tragic 9OT game at Penn state. I make it inside the stadium in the third quarter and am shocked we are winning. Just didn’t want to know we were getting blown out by 40 before the Apogee gate. Then it all dissipates. The warmth of a win is gone. Liberty roars back and does what I thought they would do, win easily. I remember those days too. Drives to NMSU to witness the miracle in the desert. The flat tire in the panhandle on the way tk Air Force - repair arrive by halftime - 2 wins on the plains over TTU. A drive to see my Mean Green battle Jake the snake under the lights in sun devil stadium. so many awesome memories and then this array trots out with Seth still on the sideline. I’m sorry but a job opening for head coach at UNT is the worst kept secret in college football.
