  1. For the record, I have never seen, heard or participated in a "happy hour" of drinking with rick villarreal, he doesn't frequent happy hours to my knowledge on a regular basis, and I do. Your insistence on this drinking buddy bit is an unfair implication. If you are using on the road before or after we win a basketball tournament we were all having fun.
  2. back to topic. Fine is the sort of quarterback that I have been begging for. Mac had (with the exception of the red head, which is stood next to several times and was 2 or 3 inches shorter than the program said) unreasonable parameters and expectations for his quarterbacks. This kid can flat play. Tyler Tettleton was under six foot tall and could flat play football. I for one and glad that we finally are going with "football players". The difference between senior year to sophomore year in college could be huge with this kid if he just grows another inch and gains 20 pounds. According to all accounts he has a rocket arm
  3. I would rather be called a mofo any day than a jackass.......just saying
  4. "YEAH< BUT I HAD SEX WITH YOUR WIFE........" should have gone with jerk store
  5. Just curious? When you talked to Ernie the other day, did you say to his face "RV sucks at mostly if not everything he does"? Or do you have enough guts to do that anywhere but a message board? Maybe you should take him up on his offer to sit with him during the games, so instead of throwing stones at people that are out in front trying really hard to give this program the resources to be successful, you might get a little different perspective.
  6. For the last time. ...we donate money in support of student athletes. Other people have given money to help pay coaches etc, but that is not us. We will help the young people who represent this university as long as we can . facility building Counts in helping student athletes. The person sitting in the a.d. Office or pres. Office will not change this That day was pure torture. In my opinion every time a certain qb went on the field it was symbolic if the head coach turning around and giving all of us the "double you're number one " sign.
  7. I don't have any information that any one else here doesn't have. I didn't go to the recruiting thing, but from all accounts it was heavily attended, as was basketball last night. You are only punishing yourself by staying away. Have fun throwing internet rocks from your outpost there in Granbury and singing the same.........tired.........old.........song........
  8. He gets his paycheck twice monthly, not on friday...... And have fun with your new club seat agreement. It should make for some great internet b.s. when those things finally are revealed. #itsallajoke
  9. I hate to interject here, but scotty Conley is a great man. He is in the Texas football coaches Hall of fame. He has been in some big time places. He has tremendous respect from high school coaches. So please hate on someone else.
  10. we get 6 parking passes
  11. You realize that dt's lady is the daughter of our football coaches secretary, mary hardin, who has worked in the athletic dept. since matt simon? And that dt's lady worked in the athletic dept.? And that capper etal are all very close friends? no conspiracy
  12. we were secretly meeting at a place called vitty's on teasley, but there was an incident about a month ago that has caused us to leave that place permanently.
  13. You should have said over half, because remember, these 17 that you speak of have provided millions of dollars because they put themselves first instead of supporting the University and it's student athletes. I mean it's all about paying for access to a "drinking buddy" for me.
  14. Nice. check in and see your running another witch hunt. Apply a theory and then try prove or disprove it, in this case because you didn't get your way, again by just asking, your going to publicly bully this kid and try to humiliate this young man into a response. what a joke.
  15. whoops, i forgot to say "sources say"
  16. scotty conley, retained as director of high school intercollegiate relations
  17. So he is related to booger also then? Built a lot like booger
  18. I don't believe any media sources so you decide
  19. They are all in town and are waiting to "clear" the hr process before being formally announced
  20. foi requests are why you hire a consultant and get a Burner phone. There has to be some confidentiality in the process to protect those who are interviewing, otherwise some people wouldn't talk to us.
  21. actually, metzlers is right around the corner, with very high end wines and cheese...... So might be a great intersection to set a trap.
  22. now that I have been warned, I have my head on a swivel. Situational awareness is everything people.
  23. sorry, no new. Rv got the new ones on board this spring.
  24. Makes me wonder which is worse, a group of people on a message board beating a drum for change to make this place better, and getting absolutely nowhere, or a group of people blindly donating millions of dollars to try to effect change, finally convincing the "powers that be" to step up to the plate and go get a coach "money be damned" instead of compromising because of money (dodge), and then hiring McCarney because of phantom "skins". If you ask me, we are all dumbasses. I think you guys are dumbasses because you sit around throwing darts trying to figure out what is going on sometimes getting it right, but most of the time posting speculative bullshit that just isn't true. All the while knowing the true whys of how Stephens got hired, then Aston, then Peterson, then Benford. You guys think that I am a dumbass because I "blindly follow RV" and have bought in to his "vision" of what North Texas should be in athletics. This year took a lot out of all of our North Texas pride. I told my wife if this is our quarterback we may only win two games. It was a complete beating watching this team slip backwards. I mean, I watched several big donors on new years day 2014 say "We need to extend this guy, now". Then we slip off of the mountain like a mudslide? So guess what, the guys that pushed that decision are now going to have to help pay to correct that. That is "how it go" in college football. I satirically made the reference of "piss ants" after hearing it from a fellow suite holder and friend of mine, and thought is was kind of funny. Well it's not funny. We all know the truth, we need me, you, students, alumni in Dallas, everybody. The guy buying the endzone family pack pizza deal is just as important as anybody on game day. I can say that for me, this hire is different. There is no talk about a journey, about a "football plan". There is no putting a fist in the air and showing a ring, then saying "I talked to Urban last night", and "When I got here we didn't look like a football team". Nope, just a guy saying I have a lot of work to do. Sure there are some coach speak cliches about playing fast, and spreading the ball around, and having fun. But there is a calm about this guy that makes you step back and say wow. I had a old man tell me long ago who raised bird dogs, you can train dogs all of your life, but when you get that really good one, and sometimes it never happens for people, you will know from the beginning that it is the one. The world is full of unknowns rising to be the best in their field. The one common denominator that I see is talent. But when you take talent and combine that with an unbelievable and unexplainable ability to just refuse to lose, then you have something special. It is the calm that is giving me goose bumps. As for me, I am going to roll it out there against SMU, get as many people to come as I can, and pray for some ffffing help from the football team to get them back for Bethleham State or whoever we are playing.
