I'm jealous. Why couldn't TCU have hosted us in this thing?
-
Comeback kids once again. Not sure they've got what it takes to pull off the big one, but you never know if they somehow find a way to shoot lights out and go easy on the T/O's. Nice win for them and the SBC, but I can't say that I'm not a little jealous of their opportunity. "Play-in" games can be a nice momentum builder.

I guess all you can do is look at WKU's record. They really don't deserve any better by any gauge, and we just plain and simply let our 13 point lead slip away. I'm pretty sure that we would have avoided the play-in had we won, but I wasn't overly concerned had we been a play-in team. It may be a slight slap in the face, but winning the play-in would had been a nice warm up for North Carolina or whatever. Since we've decided again that we're not interested in the lower pay to play tourneys, let's just get everyone back and eligible and be a top ten (or five) seed next year. No embarassment there. No other choice at this point.

Does JJ need to go to March Madness next season?

And a pretty hefty percentage inside the Big 6 as well. -
Are we against going to other tournaments?

I'd love to see us play more games, but that's just me. How about we throw our money together with the Frogs and maybe play a game at a neutral site? UTA's new digs? Not totally neutral, but not bad for either school. At least we'd finally get to play each other, and our teams seem to be pretty close to equal this year. -
I'm actually kind of shocked that they have that many posters interested in the subject. Wonder what those guys are busy doing elsewhere during game time at Moody?
-
And your ratings are? Oh excuse me, I guess they don't exist. Sorry about your kids BTW.

Glad to see that some are now giving Odoh a little more love. Seems like some were questioning his athleticism, but I saw nothing of the kind in either of the games that I saw him play this season. Extremely athletic with great acceleration running the court. He may be a little raw offensively, and he may be a little slim (although obviously very strong), but I think he will be a great compliment to this team next season. Let's just hope they all return.

I agree. It really is ridiculous that some actually believe the garbage spewed out by our "adversaries" and thus deem themselves and their school as inferior. It's hard to move forward with an inferiority complex. Sad.

A strange season due to injuries and ineligibility, but I'll go ahead and grade above based mainly on expectations. I may look like an easy grader, but we really did have a lot of guys out there this year with very little to no D1 experience, and it's really hard to be too negative based on the circumstances we had to deal with.
-
Not necessarily.

I couldn't make it this year, but I usually have no problem finding things to do. If you like the outdoors, there are quality golf courses (I've played Isabella) along with some very scenic hiking and biking trails. If you prefer staying indoors, there's always the gaming area, the bars, or scenic drives. The nightlife may not be at the top of the foodchain, but LR is under an hour away, and there's got to be some local talent there even if it is Arkansas. I usually try to bring my own talent anyway. Besides, I'm selfish and any alternative site is likely to be further away. I do Mardi Gras most years, so moving it to New Orleans would be kind of redundant for me, since getting drunk and walking up and down the same street over and over again can get a little boring after awhile. Any alternatives other than Biloxi?

Other than not being a huge city, what is it missing and why does it suck?
-
I'm not going to throw darts at this point, but I will say that this team did seem to lack the killer "put their butts away" instinct after getting a nice lead all season. You could even stretch that into past years, but I'll leave that thought for others to critique.
-
After all the team adversity and the publicity thrown in his direction this season, the guy no doubt feels like he's carrying this team on his shoulders, and clearly it hurts when things go bad. Just the kind of guy I want in the Mean Green Nation.
-
I agree. He's a total class act, and we all have to accept the fact that he is a 19 year old just getting started in the college game. I have no doubt that his great all around talent will show itself EVEN MORE next season. We all have to taste a little losing in life before we win.
-
Exactly. That was the gimme killer. Sure as Hell killed me watching it take place.
-
No doubt that this really hurt, but I've experienced worse in my MG lifetime. It just painfully happened, but I really wish we could just somehow learn how to block out on foul shots. That was pretty close to pathetic. I really hope we learn from this. GMG!

I have been told by a higher power that there will be a plate tectonic split after we win this game, and that split will run from Tulsa through Denton, and all the way down to West U.
-
Maybe he's moving it southeast for more geopraphical balance, because he knows that the conference is losing it's two northwestern most members? Ya think?
-
Wonder what kind of signage is planned for it? I'm guessing that TXDOT would frown on any sort of video screen, since I don't recall ever seeing anything like that before in Texas.
-
How about The I'm Trapped and Can't Get out Conference?
-
Boneheads. You can't lead the league in all those categories and not be POY. Should have at least gotten defensive POY. Guess he's being punished for starting out in December and for being a Freshman. Needs to make up for it by being tourney MVP.
-
The American South Conference has already been done with Arky State, LaLa and others, but it might be worth a revisit if we're going to make a change. Naming rights probably wouldn't be a problem since they merged with The Sunbelt back in the early 90's.
-
Why not? We could be the first conference to monetize our conference name. The Sunoco Conference, The Sunny Delight Conference, The Sunkist Conference. Since they won't give us their big BCS money, we can go grab a little cash from corporate America.
