  1. We're a good football team bottom line. Not yet truly great in all areas, but we look like we can have a consistently good football team from here on out. After this game, it's very hard to not be a believer in Mac & Company. Excellent effort.
  2. He's a special QB. Playing a little possum last week?
  3. Sure that was a sock?
  4. Here's a list if it's accurate. First I've heard of Howie Shannon. http://www.databasebasketball.com/players/bycollege.htm?sch=University+of+North+Texas
  5. Zach Olen kicks a 48 yarder as time expires. Green Machine 31 Kitties 30
  6. Nice bit of respect there. Somehow I don't think we'll be surprising anyone but the behind the curve media types and the fans that follow them.
  7. You neglected to mention the daddy's grease money that can get ANYONE into your school.
  8. I like Bynes and Delgado for the most part, but other than Chancellor, the speed that I have seen from our receivers has me a little worried. Has Teagarden seen the field yet? He looked pretty quick in the Spring game.
  9. Looks like he's delaying the decision/outcome a little more. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/8367572/texas-tech-coach-billy-gillispie-seek-treatment-mayo-clinic-rochester-minn-high-blood-pressure
  10. He may have been a little gun shy and tightened up a bit after that interception.
  11. I'm pretty much a special occasion church guy myself, but I hope you reconsider. This thing we've got going here on this planet just doesn't last very long. Sounds like you're a fellow NT business/accounting guy like myself, and I only wish you the best bro.
  12. I was at the game and just watched the replay last night. He did a very nice job IMO, and he did all he could be expected to do as far as promoting NT is concerned. The Mercer interview could have been a little better, because I really love that guy and the memories that he provides, but it was great nevertheless.
  13. I had mixed feelings watching that game, but it was kind of sad to me when their not so good kicker totally missed it again for the win. Those guys on the field had nothing to do with Sandusky, and it sux that they are associated with him by some. Never been a Penn State fan, but I hope they pull out of their hole sooner rather than later.
  14. Hell can't be too far away for some. Nuts. http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2012/09/10/atheists-continue-battle-against-world-trade-center-cross-at-memorial/?hpt=hp_t3
  15. Good points. I wasn't wild about it from the beginning, because I would have much preferred a standard rounded out horseshoe/bowl situation, but we've got what we've got, and we've got to figure out a way to fill it. That emptiness just stands out WAY too much.
  16. He wasn't all that bad. Those two over throws to Chancellor in the end zone just stood out like a sore thumb. Well, a couple of others also, as well as the ridiculous pop fly throw away, but I'm thinking that he will get it together. Don't exactly know why I think that, except that I've seen him play a much better QB in the past.
  17. I've been around for awhile, and I'd have to say that tonight's game was one of the "greenest" that I've seen, so I think you might be right in your thoughts that maybe "the worm has turned" in regard to a culture change around campus. As far as the locals are concerned, I'm just thinking that some have long memories of conflicts with individuals and overall issues associated with NT, and that hopefully those things are on the verge of dying out. Although I only lived in Denton while in school, I have older (mostly) relatives who have lived there for generations, and I've sensed a little of that animosity from them over the years toward the school. A couple of those relatives were heavily involved in city/county government, and I've seen their stance in regard to UNT become more positive in recent years. I REALLY hope that the locals can get on board, because that could put us over the top as far attendance and other issues are concerned. Any of you old time locals who have any ideas on how to change the local culture are more than welcome to chime in. That change is more than past due, because Denton ain't no little country/college town no more.
  18. But your team is not even University Park's team. Unless of course you've changed your name to the Scots or the Cowboys.
  19. The two throws to Chancellor in the end zone were definitely over thrown, but the 25-30 yarder to Bynes in the 3rd should have been caught, because it was a perfect pass that Bynes apparently didn't see. Not a great night for him overall regardless.
  20. INSANE! Both "state" Colorado teams lost to "1AA's", so this is definitely a cupcake Saturday. Nice win by Rice BTW. Glad we didn't let it get too scary tonight.
  21. I'd rather win it on the field, but a forfeit would be OK by me.
  22. I think the last 0-0 tie was Oregon vs. Oregon St in the 80's before they had overtime. Have no idea about 0-0 going into OT.
  23. Empty Wing, crowded everything else. Just hope it is that way for the majority of the game.
  24. Looking good. Hope he's up for a RS if Berglund gets 3 years.
