"Mitchell was born eight days before he was due at eight pounds, 16 ounces" Pretty comprehensive article for the most part.

Ball control offenses`tend to be less than exciting. I just hope we have a stealth playmaker on the roster who decides to remove his cloak soon.

I agree. Trying to please East Carolina with those 3 Eastern additions was a little too much. Especially since they want out of USA ASAP.
-
That explains a few things.

I would be interested in hearing more of the details, but it sounds pretty bad from what some are saying. Did they go back for more just to crazily kick some butt, or did they go back because they picked up some punishment themselves and wanted a little payback? Also, Garza said "they all got out of the car", so I'm wondering if it was a 3/4/5 on 2 situation? It sux either way, and hopefully Stok wasn't the major instigator of it all.

I admit to being a Koolaide drinker, but I'm not so sure about that. IMO, we've got an excellent and deep CUSA OL line to go along with a very good CUSA defense as we go into next season. We've just got to get some consistency out of the QB position and kicking game, and also find ourselves another playmaker or two. We've got some holes, but I still say things are looking up.

We need to routinely RS 2 and 3 star linemen, and turn them into 3, 4, and 5 star guys. I like what I've seen thus far along those "lines."
-
I hope we have (or get) some people with the cojones to recognize and act upon the idea that those things can be changed.

I totally agree with that. Yes, Olen was putting in a pretty sucky performance, but it was almost as if he was pulled out of anger and spite. He should have been allowed to keep on kicking, and that includes the two times we went for it on fourth. All in my perfect 20-20 hindsight opinion of course.

Very very sad. God Bless.

I don't know how anyone can say that Troy has a crappy team. They just have a crappy name for those who haven't been following college football for the better part of the last decade. Having said that, we were the better team and simply blew it for 2 or 3 fairly obvious reasons. I say we come back and win the next two before coming home and continuing that winning streak. DT just needs to get over his Apogeeitis.

Billy Gillispie Resigns from Texas Tech

This kind of a scenario is what scared me from the get-go. When people get to be around 50 they often gravitate toward home. Guess we should worry about this season first. -

You're 0-2 as far as game attendance is concerned, so would you be interested in throwing the remaining season tickets in with the deal? -
Has our secondary been tested yet... Really?
foutsrouts replied to Stan R's topic in Mean Green Football
Klein's second in line (possibly 1st now) as far as Heisman QB candidates are concerned, so I don't guess he can be too bad with his arm. As far as our secondary is concerned, I think our safeties are coming along well despite a few mistakes, but I feel like the jury is still out on our corners. They have done well in the turnover department. -
Tony Benford gives high praise to UNT's Tony Mitchell

Considering that he played against guys like Olajuwon and Drexler, that's really saying something.- 22 replies

I'm also agree with that. A locked up series with Baylor and/or Houston would be great.

I have to agree. I drove through there a couple of weeks ago for the first time in a few years, and I was very impressed. I did spend a nice Summer semester at SWTSU years back, so maybe I'm a little biased, but I would have definitely preferred them in CUSA over UTSA. Oh well.
