I heard Ken Lay say the same thing. He blamed it all on his players too. How convenient.

We'd probably be 5-3 if we had no coaches. The most disorganized team that I've seen above the AA charter school level. Pathetic.
-
My anti-troll vote also went for OU over the now 4-5 Toads. Kinda sad when one fool can turn you against a team that you would normally pull for to kill OU, but I guess that's the way it is when someone attacks the Mean Green out of spite. Go Georgia.

When you're 293rd in the country in FG% you probably should be a little concerned with the offense, I don't even want to know where we stand from the land of three.

I propose the NEW SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE.

Delete Monroe and work in UTEP/S. Miss. & I'm all for it. Forget all the eastern travel, and maybe we could have some kind of a partnership/alliance situation with the MWC down the road. -
Meanwhile in Dallas and Houston...

9,000 cap. Moody had an "announced" crowd of 3,500 and the toad calls it a packed house? Houston loses to Prairie View and he says Houston is on the rise? Hilarious. Why does he even bother posting. -
RV needs to be held accountable...

We hired one Tony so that we could keep another Tony for one year. Was it worth it? Btw, Creighton got whipped by Boise tonight by a dozen. -
Complimentary serving of Prozac?

Find our best mid-court shooter and let him throw up our threes from there. We couldn't possibly do worse than we are now. Pathetic.

You can run, but you cannot hide.

I'd rather go against the trend and start a new Texas based conference with NT, Tulsa, UTEP, Rice, TSSM, UTSA, LT, USM and LALA. When the Big 12 implodes, we could be in a good position to pick up some quality scraps for expansion. I'm tired of the Eastern affiliations. So I guess my answer to the polled question is yes. Kinda.
-
This all sux if you ask me. Their options may be limited, but I've got to think that the old guard USA teams are looking for any way out of this new SBC that they can find. Tulane was the early bird in that game.
-
At this point, I think I'd prefer to wish away the East Coast teams and just have a 9 team conference. UAB, USM, LT, Rice, NT, Tulsa, UTSA, and UTEP. Then add one of either ULLA, Arky State, Middle, or TSSM. Of course you could add all 4 to get to 12, but if Tulsa and UTEP go MWC, things could get awfully SBCish once again.
-
Conferences have changed. Depending on how the MWC settles out, a large percentage of schools are only an hour behind us. No biggie to me. Especially since I like to ski.
-
Agreed. A little more stability, and a chance to end up in a better conference after everything shakes out. If everything ever shakes out.

You're even more paranoid than the punks over in Dallas. You people even said you were going to block Baylor from the MWC should the B12 fall apart a couple of years ago. Sounds like you all realize deep down that your recent football success is very temporary, and that you will soon be back to scraping the bottom of the barrel where you belong. Can't wait to troll YOUR board when that day comes in the very near future. -

I'm sure that the unfortunate and needy dealers of Ft Worth are very appreciative of your charity. I have no doubt that they simply had deprived childhoods, and need all the help and support from TCU students that they can get.

Setting the record straight on Mac's recruiting
foutsrouts replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Sure, I agree that Ft Worth is definitely behind them big these days, but I don't see a HUGE buzz about them in other areas of North Texas. Shear numbers and strong loyalties are likely to keep the Horns and Aggs up at the top of the DFW college football heap for the foreseeable future. SMU doesn't even register on the meter, and unfortunately we seem to be heading that direction ourselves. Time to win. -
Setting the record straight on Mac's recruiting

Not true. You are and will always be Fort Worth's team at best. I'm not denying your recent success, but at the end of the day you will still only be TCU. DFW as a whole barely even has a football team these days with the perpetual "suckiness" of the Cowboys. Somehow I don't think you will be filling that void should that "suckiness" continue. -

His refusal to give Osborn a chance will always be a negative in my thoughts toward Mac. McNulty over Osborn last year? Total joke. Terrible judgement IMO, but this has been discussed over and over so I'm done with it. On the other hand, if he does something similar next year I will bitch to high heaven. -
